DescriptionMedium-sized complete heavily weathered moai with head pointing down slope away from Rano Raraku. Moderately well-preserved complete statue, with head orientated away from Rano Raraku. Previously excavated by Heyerdahl; hollow of excavation trench fairly visible. R. front more weathered than L. front overall. Large complete moai, moderately well preserved, head facing down road, away from Rano Raraku. Taheta in back of head. Apparent excavation trench around moai, extends c.0.8m out from base.Complete, stumpy moai with head away from Rano Raraku. Whole front quite weathered, but worse on R. sideSmall intact moai with head aligned away from Rano Raraku. Hollow to left (S) side surrounded by up cast - excavation spoil. Lying on R. front: poor visibility here.Complete and unbroken but heavily weathered moai. One of a group of three. Tilted a bit onto R. side; head away from Rano Raraku. Conspicuous wart-like inclusion on left cheek. Stones around and underneath.Intact moai, heavily weathered, lying on R. front, head away from Rano Raraku. Humanly made cavities (cupmarks) on L. arm (at least 5). Significantly more weathered on R. side than L. Usual stones underneath and around.Large moai in two pieces, broken at lower face, very well preserved. On front but tilted onto L. side. Head away from Rano Raraku. Tilting means much more of front visible than usual. Compared to front, base is unusually heavily weathered. Petroglyphs on R. chest.Large supine moai lying parallel to moai 958 but nearer the road. Head towards Rano Raraku. In two main pieces, broken at neck in transport or fall. Third piece, constituting much of chin, now resting almost in position within major crack. Underside of chin and adjacent neck have surprisingly little weathering considLarge prone moai, parallel to road, with head away from Rano Raraku. In three pieces, broken in transport or fall. Breaks in rather unusual places: one rather more than half2way down head, other well below shoulder. Some small stones underneath and around torso.Small supine moai broken at base of neck in transport or fall. Head down slope towards sea and propped on/in contact with a flow lava boulder. Torso part slightly buried. Because statue is supine impossible to ascertain original weathering patterns because now uniformly eroded.Moderately well preserved large moai, broken across face. Three taheta-like features along spine. Petroglyphs on L. side. Natural cavity on R. side. More weathered R. front. Mineral reddening between rear arms and back and on hands. Face part buried, part obscured by 68.Moderately well preserved moai broken across face. Prominent nipples. Noticeable collection of loose stones underlying statue, includes boulder sized stones.Moai in very poor state, lying on its back with head towards Rano Raraku. Most of R. side and all for back invisible because buried in thick scrub - NB this moai was NOT cleared by CONAFComplete prone moai with head orientated down slope, away from Rano Raraku. Exposed ground surface below statue covered with loose stones. Complete moai with head pointing down slope towards sea, away from Rano Raraku. Cobble-sized stones with occasional poro around base, which does not touch the groundComplete prone moai with unstructured stone spread/ pile underlying and surrounding itBroad prone moai broken across upper chin. Possible cup marks on left arm and right rear shoulderPartially visible head of ahu-type moai projecting at angle from fill of large pitComplete thick-bodied supine moai propped on/ supported by stones below its head and along its back with a manavai at its base. Multiple cup marks on its head and left sideNear complete prone ahu-type moai. Left base broken offLarge prone moai broken across its body, below the shoulders, and across its face
