The Role

PURPOSE AND SCOPE

To welcome clients and othervisitors to our building, ensuringthey are received warmly and kindly,in line with Poppy’s values. To ensure the smooth running ofour office and building, liaising withsuppliers and stakeholders locallyand nationally.To provide the financialadministrative support necessaryfor our operations to run smoothlyand efficiently, ensuring financialcontrols are in place and monitored. To be willing to get stuck inwherever support to the teammight be needed: such as assistingwith recruitment and on-boarding ofnew staff members; pulling togetheroffice socials etcTo help implement changes to thebusiness as we go for BCorpaccreditation.To take on ad hoc projects asrequired, supporting the CEO andothers in the team to develop theinfrastructure to enable Poppy’s togrow.To maintain and develop Poppy’simpressive reputation with clients,stakeholders and within the team.

Crucially, we expect everyone on the team to be able and willing todevelop a sound understanding of the gentle, thoughtful, natural waywe care for the dead people in our mortuary. We have no expectationsof prior experience of this work.

What we can offer you From the start, you will be part of a warm, autonomous, impressive team,passionate about their work.

SALARY & PENSION

We are offering a salary of £33,000-£35,000 FTE, with flexibility for anexceptional candidate. On pensions, we contribute 3%.

HOLIDAY

You get 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays plus the opportunity to buy upto an additional 10 days leave in one year.

You’ll also get your birthday off for free, or a day off around your birthday ifit’s a weekend.

LOCATION & HOURS

We are based in a beautiful old building in Tooting, and the nature of the rolemeans you will be based on site alongside our front line team. This is a full-time role, and our core hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
