Your KUDU grill can be assembled in minutes without the use of any special tools. To prevent scratches in the powder coating, avoid laying the KUDU on a hard surface while assembling.

CARE & MAINTENANCE EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR KUDU

KUDU has worked hard to design and build an open fire cooking system that will stand up to the elements. However, it is very important that you continually season your grill after each use to ensure your KUDU will function properly year after year.

SEASONING YOUR KUDUThe KUDU is made of heavy gauge carbon steel that has been treated with a high temperature powder coat. Over time, the powder coating on the metal that comes in direct contact with the heat can be impacted. You can, however, easily reinforce the rigidity and weatherproofness of the

MAINTAININGYour New KUDU Grill

KUDU by applying a food based cooking oil after use. Simply take a small towel and gently apply oil your KUDU. Over time, this practice will season the grill component just like your grandmother’s favorite cast iron pan.

The KUDU assembly includes four stainless steel bolts underneath the fire base that secure the legs, along with four larger bolts that tighten the elevation bars to the fire base and help support the grill surface and plancha surface. It is important to keep these bolts lubricated with the oil as well. After each use, simply unscrew the bolts, apply a thin coat of oil, and secure them back in place. This will prevent the bolts from tightening up and rusting.

Lastly, it is important to keep your KUDU protected from the elements with a KUDU Grill Cover. If you take a short period of time to season your KUDU and protect it from the elements with a KUDU Grill Cover your KUDU will last many years into the future providing you countless memories with your family and friends.

COOKING ON YOUR KUDU MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR NEW KUDU GRILL

The KUDU works off of a patented elevation system that allows the user to move the cooking surfaces away from the heat both vertically and laterally. These movements give the cook ultimate control over the heat source allowing for efficient and optimum cooking.

It is very important that you DO NOT over tighten the bolts attached to the cooking surfaces.

move the cooking surfaces up and down, simply pull up on the cooking surface handle which will straighten the tube and allow the cooking surface to be easily lowered.

Once you adjust the cooking surface to the desired cooking level simply take your hand of the handle and gentle tighten the bolt until it barely touches the elevation bar.
