1.1 LUCKY STEEL – FOUNDATION’S VALUE

1.2. HEADNOTE
Construction is an extraordinary industry in and of itself for it belongs to neither the
commercial nor the industrial group. As its own entity within society, construction plays a
monumental role in developing countries. Construction is the root of all projects from
residential to commercial buildings. Industrial factories lay the groundwork for other
manufacturing industries, which paves the path for infrastructure sub-sectors to allow
countries to flourish and develop.
As society continues to develop exponentially over the years, the construction industry has
been forced to adapt and evolve simultaneously from designs to materials to construction
solutions, all of which are vital societal necessities.
Lucky Steel Buildings acknowledges and has done extensive research on the positive
impacts of steel. Years of advancements have allowed steel to gradually replace concrete
as the preferred and more efficient material in construction. More specifically, some key
advantages of using steel in our solutions include its immense strength, lightness,
durability, and fast progression. Furthermore, as our planet continues to grow increasingly
eco-friendly, the construction industry turns more and more to opting for the use of steel
structure for its versatility in usage ranging from simple to complex.
Historically speaking, many famous projects around the world use steel structure, such as
the Chrysler Building in New York and the Eiffel tower in France. In our motherland itself,
Vietnam uses steel structure as the skeleton or core component for many high-rise
buildings, such as the National Symbol Landmark 81.
To say the least, advancement of pre-engineered steel structure within construction has
been expanding widely. In numbers, we have seen a growth in steel-based structures by
more than 10% annually over the past two decades, and we anticipate this number to only
increase in the coming years.
Looking towards the future, Lucky Steel Buildings is confident that PESS (Pre-Engineered
Steel Structure) will gradually replace other construction options for high-rise buildings and
other construction projects alike in developing countries within Southeast Asia, such as
Vietnam. We will be guided by the successful transition of using PESS in other developed
countries, such as Japan, Taiwan, China, and Korea. Using their progress and growth as a
blueprint, we will design a step by step process to provide Vietnam with our own successful
future in using steel structure.

ANCHOR BOLT
Anchor bolt / Foundation Bolt is designed to anchor steel structure to foundation. Normally, the shape of such anchor bolt is either I, L, J The strength is grade 4.6-5.6 – 6.6 with elector galv.
HIGH STRENGTH BOLTS
The bolt for connection of Primary Frame. The high strength bolt as standard of Electrode Galvanized or sometimes are HDG/Bare Black bolt as specified in design. The strength is normally as standard of Grade 8.8, except some special cases of grade 10.9 or S10T, F10T or Torcon Bolts
MACHINE BOLTS
The connection bolts are for secondary frame. It is designed with standard bolt grade 4.6 DIN or ASTM. It is Electro Galv, to be used for connection of Purlin/Girt to Rafter/Columns or some similar connection

They are included the X roof bracing (For rafter), Wall bracing (For column) to transfer longitudinal load (Caused by wind load or crane load) to foundation. These bracing are normally designed using cable or rod or angle L, 2L. For wall bracing, in some special cases of request about clearance of movement, it is using the Portal bracing which is higher cost.
BRACING FOR PRIMARY FRAME
It is bracing for secondary-frame, this bracing is to have brace point on purlin girt to reduce the effective length and to strengthening the purlin/girt together. Normally, these bracing are using sag rod M12 electro galvanized or Sag Arrestor (2L X connection) or using U between purlin/girt
LATERAL BRACING FOR PURLIN/GIRT
This flange stay is to brace bottom flange of rafter connected to purlin or inside flange of column to girt. The purpose of this bracing is to avoid twist rafter/column during erection time. It is normally using angle L, V (Painted) or L, V, U cold form from purlin coil.

4.1. OPTIMAL DESIGN, SYNCHRONOUS DOCUMENTS
Based on preliminary information such as architecture, load, function… The Engineer Department consult and give the solution with optimized design to save cost.
1. GET INFORMATION, ISSUE
PROPOSAL DRAWINGS
Our experienced engineers consider and give solution with optimal design to save cost but make sure to meet original function, safe following the code.
2. STRUCTURAL’S DESIGN
From structural design calculation, we make the detail approval drawing. We submit approval drawings and exchange information deeply with customer, to help customer understand how product look like in future. Then, customer to comment and approve.
3. APPROVAL DRAWINGS
From 3D model Tekla, the fabrication drawings will be issued to system where, the production department will collect them for fabrication at factory.
5. SHOP DRAWINGS
After discussion with CMD about erection method, the Erection drawings will be issued to minimize the time, the cost and ensure safety first. The Erection drawings will be displayed simply and easily comprehension to avoid the mistakes in erection stage.
6. ERECTION DRAWINGS
Weight, quantity of raw materials related to project will be extracted in detail, very high accuracy to let other department plan properly. The actual weight, quantity as shown on Erection Drawing will be finally issued as final BOM, SHOP for final data of project.
7. DETAIL ANALYSIS
As-built drawings are based on erection drawings and adjusted some changes from the site in order to show exactly “Actual Erection” for warranty.
