The stunning Ewing Mansion, lush green lawns

and perfectly manicured trees made Southfork a

wonderful backdrop for our Eagle Manager’s

Retreat party, where many of you gathered to

celebrate another chapter in the story of your

success. I’m so glad that many of you who

recently attended Forever’s Eagle Manager’s

Retreat in Dallas had a chance to visit this

sprawling 63,000-acre property.

Southfork Ranch itself is steeped in great stories. It

was the backdrop for the iconic television series

Dallas and to me, has always embodied the spirit

of ranch life in the American west. But one of my

favorite stories about Southfork Ranch is one that

isn’t widely known and doesn’t have all the glitz

and glamour of the TV nostalgia this property is so

well known for.

It’s the story of Manuel Rodriguez, our head

groundskeeper at Southfork Ranch. He’s been

working at the ranch since 1967, when he was

just a young man pushing a lawnmower and

tending to flower beds. If you’ve visited the ranch,

you’ve seen the result of his work. It’s everywhere

you look; the perfectly trimmed hedges, lush

green grass and towering trees are a testament to

the work he does every day.

With so many acres, it would be impossible to

perform every task on his list. One day he’s

trimming the hedges, the next mowing the grass

or repairing a section of fence. To Manuel,

there’s no such thing as a small task and by

doing a little every day, he’s made himself an

invaluable asset to the ranch. The dirt under his

nails and on his hands is a testament to his

dedication to keeping Southfork such a beautiful

and magical place. More importantly, his work

shows that by accomplishing a series of small

tasks every day, you can maintain something

memorable.

What would happen if Manuel started doing just a

little less every day? Sure, you might not notice at

first. But over time the lawns would become

overgrown. The fences would need painting and

repair. The flowers would wither. Eventually, the

whole property would fall into disarray and the task

of bringing it back to its former beauty would be a

daunting and time-consuming task.

This concept holds true for your business as well.

Every time you follow up with a new prospect,

organize an opportunity presentation or reach out

to a member of your team to offer guidance, you

are performing a small but essential task that helps

preserve and maintain something beautiful: your

business. If you aren’t doing a little bit each day

the impact is sure to sneak up on you and next

thing you know, you’ll have a huge job in front of

you if you hope to pull your business out of the

weeds.

Next time you feel like you’re not doing enough I

hope you’ll think about Southfork Ranch and

Manuel, who helps preserve its beauty and

legacy. Don’t ever think that what you accomplish

in a day is small or inconsequential. Every task you

check off is part of building and maintaining a

business that has the power to change your life

and that of so many others.

Forever Yours,

Rex Maughan CEO, Forever Living Products

BY ACCOMPLISHING A SERIES OF SMALL TASKS EVERY DAY,

YOU CAN MAINTAIN SOMETHING MEMORABLE

goes aA littlelong way

We are very lucky at Forever to own so many beautiful buildings

and properties all over the world. I’ve always had a passion for

nature, architecture and the stories behind the places that hold a

big place in our hearts. When I think about the properties that

mean the most to me, Southfork Ranch always comes to mind.

For those of you who didn’t quite make Eagle this year, I hope you’re in a great position to set your sights on next year and qualify. For those of you who qualified and chose to attend EMR in Pattaya, I can’t wait to see you soon!

Being an Eagle is such an important turning point for your Forever business, but I know it doesn’t come easy. When you check your social media feed and see so many Eagles celebrating and attending EMR trainings, I hope you’ll remember that they experience peaks and valleys with their business just like you.

In fact, I don’t think there will ever be a time when your business does not experience ups and downs. The important question to ask yourself is: how deep are those valleys? How big are the setbacks to your business and how hard will it be for you to recover and keep growing? The deeper the valley, the harder it is to climb your way back out. On the other hand, if that valley is a shallow one, you’ll find it’s much easier to step out and get back on track.

So, how do you avoid pitfalls and deep valleys in your business? The key is balance. I encourage you to consider the 4Core principles of recruitment, retention, development and productivity. We developed these principles as a framework for FBOs who want to build balanced, long-lasting businesses. Adhering to 4Core allows you to grow the key areas of your business with stability.

Maybe you’ll have a month when your recruitment numbers aren’t quite where you want them to be. But if you are also focusing on retaining customers and new team members or encouraging your team to qualify for new incentives to support your productivity, it will be much easier for you to recover. True, you might not be bringing in as many new people as you’d like but by ensuring the rest of your business is healthy and vibrant, you can have an off month in one area and still thrive.

Consistency is another key ingredient for successfully navigating the inevitable ups and downs that life is sure to throw at you.

That means staying consistent with how much effort you put into your business, whether times are great or challenging. Let’s say you have three months in a row where you experience rapid growth. You may be tempted to sit back and relax for a while. Don’t give in to the urge and double down on your commitment to consistency. Think of how much farther you can go just by putting in the same amount of work, even during times of plenty.

When you combine consistency with balance in your business, you put yourself in a position to gain momentum and build something that can withstand the ups and downs. If you do this, I know you can be an Eagle and I can’t wait to celebrate with you at EMR 2020 as we cruise the Bahamas.

Keep smiling,

Gregg Maughan President, Forever Living Products

Another amazing Eagle Manager’s Retreat is in the books.

I had such a great time seeing so many Eagles get together in

Dallas for training and inspiration that will keep us motivated in

the final months of the year and set us up for even more

success in 2020.

Don’t let the

valleys get

too deep

We are forever.

Harish SinglaCountry Sales Manager

After seeing our endless cycle of Success Days, Trainings, Meetings; I was wondering whether it has any scientific basis leading to achievement of success. You will be glad to know that our method has a scientific basis.

When dealing with new prospects, or with other existing down-lines, do you find yourself trying to get someone to change their behaviour? You may try as hard as possible but nothing seems to work.

In my own coaching and training experience, when I find myself trying too hard with someone, I know I’m doing something wrong. I stop and take a deep breath and switch my own brain.

When we’re trying hard, we’re often working against ourselves because we create unconscious resistance in the person we’re coaching.

Emerging neuroscience explains why.

In a fascinating talk at The Conference Board’s 2018 Executive Coaching conference, Dr. Richard Boyatzis (a leading research professor in organizational behaviour and cognitive science at Case Western University) explained how our brains see-saw between two opposing domains. We can either be in our analytic reasoning brain (focused on goals, measures, accountability) or in our empathy and emotion oriented understanding brain (focused on dreams, aspirations). One brain state actually represses the other.

Research suggests that when we are in our analytic brain we tend to be more resistant to change.

If we analyse our work environment and evaluate our coaching sessions which happen mostly through our success days, training sessions and one-on-one sessions.

Let’s think about this a bit. Chances are that most of us spend our time at work in our empathic brain. We are mostly talking dreams, aspirations, and motivation with very little focus on the analytic side of goals, measures, plans, accountability and how to achieve the dreams.

So as leaders coaching our people for change, we need to proactively engage the analytic brain also.

Neuroscience teaches us to use both the brains in alignment with each other. Our own brain stage during Success Day which is full of dreams and emotions unconsciously impact the other person. This means that when we connect to our own sense of purpose, aspirations and dreams, we bring that inspired state of being to our people. It also means that we work with others to discover where they derive

purpose, meaning and satisfaction. This creates the optimum environment and relationship that promotes openness to growth and new learning.

So our Success Day creates the right environment for analytical brain to take over and coach people on goals, targets and the “How” of achieving them.

Of course, we need to set goals. But start with dreams and aspirations first.

As you engage the empathic brain, you open people up to their dreams and their ideal self. It creates energy and momentum. Here are a set of questions that you may find useful to ask yourself as well as those you are coaching. I recommend you start with yourself because you are the catalyst for change.

• What do you feel good about (or grateful for) right now?

• What’s worked well to help you reach current stage?

• What worked well till now, will it work well for next 5,10, 20 years?

• In three years you've been wildly successful. Describe what that feels like?

• What’s success for you?

• Who are people that inspire you? What qualities do you see in them?

As we listen deeply to the answers we start uncovering aspirations and values important to ourselves and others. Once we help others discover what’s meaningful and aspirational for them, we can become co-creators in change.

The mind is now ready to listen to the analytical side. The stage is set to design goals, plans and reviews.

So while our success days motivate the emphatic brain, subsequent analytic use of brain is essential to finally make workable plans and achieve success.

By the time this theory of success reaches you, some of you would have already come back energised from the EMR in Dallas. Combination of motivation and training at the EMR is a classic hallmark of a success strategy.

You should download what you have learned to your teams and motivate them to be a part of the Eagles Team in Bahamas.

All of you who have Sydney in your sights, a gentle reminder –the race is in its last stages with only 3 months left. So pull up your socks and give it the best shot.

Looking forward to seeing a large number of you on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Happy Diwali

I have been involved with a couple of MLM companies before Forever came to my life but failed to make any progress in any of those. I did have very good team but neither the team nor I was able to make any stable income in those companies. When finally FLP came to my life as a God-sent opportunity, there were lots of operational problems in Kerala those days. But the highest quality of products and the giving attitude of FLP really made a very big difference and we came across several amazing testimonials in the very first year.

As I was very confident about the uniqueness of the products and power of the marketing plan. I was able to grow fast in the hierarchy and was able to reach the Manager level in just a few months. From there onwards, there was no looking back and every other achievement followed, one by one, like becoming Senior Manager, Car Plan, Managers Retreat, Eagle Managers Retreat, Chairman’s Bonus Qualification, Global Rally etc.

When I was working for other Networking Companies, I was not even able to maintain a decent 5-figure income. However, FLP changed everything. In FLP when I touched six- figure in the very first year many in my team started making good money. Among the dozen Managers now in my group in Kerala some are already drawing a 6 figure monthly cheque and others are inching towards that.

2019 has been the greatest year of my achievements as my long pending dream of having my own house for my family is no longer a daydream as I have been able to build my dream house within the city of Ernakulam. Needless to say that every brick that has gone into building the two-story independent dream house is all thanks to FLP

I am a chemical engineer and worked as a plant executive in a large factory. I withdrew a salary was `35,000/- which covered most of my needs. But as they say, wants are larger than needs.

I wanted much more than what I was getting but still continued due to less opportunities. I was also unhappy with the pressure from my management. I started to look out for a change. One day, Mr. Gurdeep Singh spoke to me about the products of Forever Living and encouraged me to start the business part time along with my job. I attended my training sessions and learnt quite a bit in the first 6 months. Things were going well but one fine day my father passed away and a valcano of issues erupted. I had responsibilities like never before. In order to give more time in solving issues and spending time at home, I had to quit my job. And the only thing left for me to do was the Forever Business. This was the only option I had where I got time and financial freedom. With all the hardwork put in, I soon became a manager. It was a time of great ups and downs, but I never gave up and kept working hard. While recommending products to prospects, I started consuming them myself to be sure of what I am recommending. I also suggested my mother to use Arctic Sea and Aloe Berry Nector for her blood pressure treatment and results were astonishing.

Where I was earning `35000 after 4 to 5 years in a job, I am earning 80000 to 90000 a month within 2 to 2.5 years with Forever Living Products. This is the difference between a job and Multi Level Marketing.
