For any model you can have only one dimension per type.

Ex: Model 1 – Can have only one Account dimension.Account type dimension only1 .

You can share same dimension between Model

Ex: Account dimension can be in Model 1 and Model 2

Only User defined dimension can be used multiple times in a model.

Ex: Costcenter , Profitcenter , Company code into one model ( Model1) . In that case we define them as User defined Dimensions

Starter Kits IFRS – International Accounting Standards

USGAAP – US Generally accounting accepted principals

UKGAAP – US Generally accounting accepted principals






Install BPC

Step1 SAP Basis Team download the SAP BPC Software/Starter kit from SAP Service Market place

Step2 SAP Basis Team will install the BPC application in the Dev environment

Step3 Once BPC is Installed, it will have Environment shell as a default Environment

Step 4 BPC Consultant will copy the environment shell and name it VAOYO Planning

Step1 Login in to BPC Web Interface

Step2 Navigate to Manage all Environments

Step3 Select Environment shell & copy and create New Environment

Step4 Verify the dimensions and create new dimensions

Step5 Define the Secured dimensions

Step6 Create Non Rate Reporting Model

Step7 Create Reporting Model

Step6.1 – Assign Dimensions to Non Reporting Model

Step7.1 – Assign Dimensions to Reporting Model

Step7.2 Assign Non Reporting Model






Navigate to Manage All Environments






Copy Environment shell & create a new Environment






Creating Dimensions

Approach 1 Copy dimension

Select the dimension and click on Copy

Define the dimension name and save

Approach 2 Create new dimension

Navigate to Dimension screen and click on New

Define the name of the dimension and select the Dimension Type

Click on Create






Adding Members , Properties , HierarchiesAdd Member into Dimension Add member into Dimension

Open the dimension and click on Add

Enter the members in the row of the dimension ( Member ID should be unique)

Add Property into Dimension Add Property into Dimension

Open the Dimension and navigate to the structure of the Dimension

Add Property , Length of the property and save dimension

Save & Process the dimension

Add Hierarchy into Dimension Add Hierarchy into Dimension

Open the Dimension and navigate to the structure of the Dimension

Add Parenth1 in the Hierarchy structure and save the dimension

Add member into Hierarchy Add members to a Hierarchy

Open the Dimension and add parent to a dimension member

Save & Process the dimension
