Phaethon

PhaethonPhaethon seeks out the Sun god to find out if he is his father or not. The Sun God is his father. While the Sun God and Phaethon are talking, Phaethon asks his Dad if he can drive the chariot. The chariot is what the Sun God drives everyday to make sure the sun rises into the air. The father replies with a no. Not because he is worried that his son will mess up the chariot, but because he is worried for his son. The horses that lead the chariot are trained to kick off anyone that is not the Sun God. Phaethon doesn’t listen to his father and ends up stealing and driving the chariot. The horses do kick him off. Phaethon starts to fall to his death. He ends up catching on fire while falling. Making his death even more horrible. After he dies, he becomes a tree, thanks to some certain Gods and Goddesses.

Pegasus & Bellerophon

Pegasus and Bellerophon

Bellerophon was a brave, strong man. A woman named Anteia fell in love with him. He didn’t feel the same way towards her. He went to the market and saw a Pegasus. As soon as he saw it, he knew he had to have it. He had to complete a small quest in order to get this creature. He had to stay the night in the Athena temple and if he stayed the entire night he would be rewarded. He stayed the night and he now owned the Pegasus. Anteia was still angry at him. She made him go on 3 quest. The first was that he had to defeat the Chimaera. Part lion, part, goat and part snake. He was able to defeat the beast. Thanks to the Pegasus. He just rode the horse and shot arrows that were on fire at the monster. The next two challenges were to fight to different types of warriors. He was able to do this easily again because of the horse. Anteia didn’t challenge him anymore. Bellerophon and Pegasus could now do whatever they wanted. They tried to go on more adventures but found out that they were very different. They ended up drifting apart and separtating.

He told his son not to fly to close to the sun or the wings will melt and he will fall to his death. They started to fly. Daedalus's son forgot his dad's warning and flew next to the sun. He died. Daedalus was grief-stricken. He went to the town Sicily. The King was there and was upset that he escaped. So he gave Daedalus a new challenge. Daedalus got through the challenge without a problem. The King gave him another challenge. At the end of the contest the King was slain.
