USB Audio Driver InstallationAudiant USB drivers forWindows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7

Here you can find instructions on installing the Audiant USB drivers for Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7.

A note for Mac users, if you're using OSX 10.6.3 or above, you do not need to install USB Audio drivers. If you're using an earlier version of OSX please upgrade to 10.6.3 or later.

Windows 10USB drivers are not required for Perreaux devices when using Windows 10 as it natively supports USB Audio 2.0.

Windows 8NB These instructions are for the Audiant 80i and Audiant DP32.

Please follow these instructions to download and install the Perreaux USB Audio drivers for Windows. This example steps through installation for Windows 8.

Please do not connect your Audiant product to a USB port just yet, you will be prompted when the installer is ready for the device to be connected.

First off, download the Perreaux USB Audio Driver package and choose to save the file to your computer. Open the USB Audio Driver package you just saved and drag the USB Audio Driver folder to the desktop or other convenient location.

Open the USB Audio Driver folder on your desktop.

Right click on the setup application (setup.exe) and select ‘Properties’ to open the properties tab.

Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and tick the selection box for ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for:’. Select ‘Windows 7’ from the drop down box and press the ‘OK’ button.

Now right click on the setup application (setup.exe) again and select ‘Run as Administrator’.

Depending on your Windows settings a User Account Control dialogue may appear asking for the driver setup to make changes to your computer, click the ‘Yes’ button if prompted.

The Setup Wizard will start and guide you through the installation of the USB Audio driver for your Audiant product. Click Next to proceed with the driver installation.

Choose the location you would like to install the USB Audio driver to, or just click Install to use the default location and start the installation.

Installation of the USB Audio driver will start and you will see a dialog with a progress bar.

A prompt will appear when the installation wizard is ready for the Audiant product to be connected. Ensure the Audiant is powered up and connect it to a USB port on your computer then click OK to continue.

The Setup Wizard will indicate that the installation was successful and setup is complete. Click Next to continue.

The Audiant USB Audio driver is now installed, click Finish to close the Setup Wizard.

Now you can setup your computer to use your Audiant product as an audio output device. Right click on the Windows icon in the bottom corner of your screen and select ‘Search’. In the search panel which opens type in ‘Sound Devices’ and open the Sound devices panel.

Under the ‘Playback’ tab select your Audiant product and click the ‘Set Default’ button at the bottom of the page. A green tick should appear indicating that the computer sound will now be played back via your Audiant product.

You are now ready to start playing music using your music player of choice (iTunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Foobar, JRiver, etc.).

Save the USB Audio Driver package to your computer, the desktop is as good a place as any.

First off, download the Perreaux USB Audio Driver package and choose to save the file to your computer.

Windows 7NB These instructions are for the Audiant 80i and Audiant DP32.

Please follow these instructions to download and install the Perreaux USB Audio drivers for Windows 7.

Please do not connect the Audiant 80i to a USB port just yet.

Open the USB Audio Driver package you just saved and drag the USB Audio Driver folder to the desktop.

Open the USB Audio Driver folder on your desktop and run Setup.exe.

The Setup Wizard will start and guide you through the installation of the USB Audio driver for the Audiant 80i. Click Next to proceed with the driver installation.

Choose the location you would like to install the USB Audio driver to, or just click Install to use the default location and start the installation.

Installation of the USB Audio driver will start and you will see a dialog with a progress bar.

Windows may warn you that the driver has not passed Windows Logo testing. The driver is signed and it is OK to continue the installation.

Turn on the Audiant 80i and connect it to a USB port then click OK to continue.

After the Audiant 80i has connected Windows may warn you again, click Continue Anyway to continue the installation. If the driver installation seems to have come to a standstill, you may find that a dialog is hiding behind the Setup Wizard window.

The Setup Wizard will indicate that the installation was successful and setup is complete. Click Next to continue.

The USB Audio driver for the Audiant 80i is now installed, click Finish to close the Setup Wizard.

Now you can setup your computer to use the Audiant 80i as an audio output device. Head over to "Start->Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices" and select the Audio tab. Under "Sound playback->Default device" select "Perreaux Audiant 80i" and click OK to set the Audiant 80i as the default audio output device.

You are now ready to start playing music using your music player of choice (iTunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp, Foobar, JRiver, etc.).
