The Brenlo StoryIn the late 1980s, a major change was taking place in theconstruction of fine homes. Architects and designers werelooking for unique products that would make their projectstand out from the masses. Windows and doors were nowbecoming the focal point of these designer showcasehouses. Curves and arches were appearing more commonplace and elaborate library walls were being created.Quality was being taken to a new and higher level andmediocrity was no longer acceptable. Subsequently, therebecame an increased demand for quality and design incustom fine hardwood moulding profiles and trims,products that would not only complete the architecturaldesign of each of these uniquely customized homes butenhance it. Brenlo Custom Wood Mouldings would be thecompany that would meet this need.

With roots tied closely to the specific and demandingrequirements of the architects, designers and builders offine homes, Brenlo set out to deliver uncompromisingquality and service to this market. And as a result, today,Brenlo is recognized by this disconcerting group as theirpre-emanate millwork manufacturer supplier.

In April of 2005, Brenlo merged with its sister companyBritannia Inc. to create a commercial/industrial andLumber Yard division. With the increase of six mouldersin our new facility, this amalgamation has made Brenlothe largest custom moulding manufacturer in Ontario.

The current 73,000 sq. ft. facility in Toronto has becomeour distribution centre. The 80,000 sq. ft. Mississaugastate-of-the-art facility has become our manufacturinglocation. Brenlo provides a broad range of architecturalwood mouldings and related products, curved mouldingsand arches, as well as doors and exterior millworkcomponents. Over 300 in-stock profiles are available fornext day delivery.

Each one of Brenlo’s moulding operators operatesone specific moulding machine. Their intimateknowledge of exacting machine and knife tolerancesallows them to produce consistent, high quality profileseach and every time.

With over 10,000 in-stock profile knives,Brenlo can save the expense of cutting new knives forcustom run needs. General Termsand Conditions

CREDITTo establish credit, a credit application must be completedin full and sent to our credit department. All first timeorders will be on a C.O.D. basis, unless credit terms havebeen established. Custom orders are C.O.D. unless pre-approved by the Credit Dept.

RETURNS AND CLAIMSReturns must be authorized in advance, and may besubject to a 20% restocking charge made through thewarehouse. 30% restocking charge for returns picked upat job-site.

All returns (except warranty work) must be shipped to ourplant freight prepaid.

Please notify our office within 24 hours of receiving anydefective product, or short shipment of product.

LENGTHSWe buy our wood in random lengths and produce theoptimum length of moulding according to each particularuse. Unless specified, mouldings are produced in randomlengths varying from three (3) to sixteen (16) feet.(Produced to the nearest foot)

For random length and custom millwork orders, pleaseallow for a 10-15% waste factor when ordering.

Orders that require specified lengths will be subject to a15% surcharge.

MINIMUMS• There will be a processing charge of $5.00 for all pick-

up orders under $30.00.• A delivery charge is applicable to orders under

$250.00.

General MouldingProduct Catalogue

Casings and BasesBrenlo Ltd. utilizes many combinations of various centerand edge profiles to produce a multitude of standardstocked bases and casings. All profiles on these pagesare drawn to actual size. There may be slight variationsbetween the drawings and actual profiles. Werecommend you obtain a sample for situations requiringvery accurate material dimensions. Delivery is usually 1to 2 days on most stock items.

Custom MouldingsIf you cannot find the mouldings that suit your needs inour stocked moulding selection, we will be glad toproduce any custom moulding you desire. Center andedge profiles on our standard bases and casings can bemixed and matched in various combinations to create thecustom profile that suits your requirements. Stock isavailable up to 9-1/4 inches wide, in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4and 8/4 thicknesses. These profiles are all available inour knife collection, therefore knife grinding is notnecessary. Custom Knife GrindingWe specialize in milling mouldings to match existingmillwork. Knives can be ground to match any pattern orprofile that cannot be found in this catalogue. We canproduce knives from a sample of an existing moulding,architectural drawing, tracing or paper pattern. Customorders can generally be delivered within 2 weeks. Wealso have an inventory of over 10,000 custom knives.Knives remain the property of Brenlo Ltd.

Raw MouldingSince we do the actual manufacturing, our rawmouldings come in a wide variety of shapes and designsas well as types of wood. Additional wood types notlisted can be obtained by special request.*Special Note: All raw moulding may have natural

colour variations due to characteristics of the wood type.

Embossed MouldingsBrenlo is pleased to introduce our new line of embossedmouldings. At our state of the art facility, Brenlo’sembossing process is skillfully applied to any species andstock profile available in our catalogue. Arches and Curves: We specialize in rounded edges! Brenlo specializes in curved casings, back bands, crowns, baseboards, bar rails, chair rails and panel moulds.

Curves can be made from a template or from accurate measurements. Arches made from measurements for window casings tend to be the mostaccurate as they give a true consistent radius, ie. length of a radius.

Typical arch types are as follows:

Please note all horizontal curves must be clearly specified as concave or convex applications.

How to measure curvesTo make an arch window casing you need to have only two critical measurements. These measurements are as follows:1) The accurate chord (inside width) of the casing line2) The accurate rise (height) from your horizontal line (chord) to the inside of your casing line.

For a cost effective alternative, we also offer some profiles custom run in Duraboard.
