Implementation Challenges &Lessons Learned

• Carefully and conservatively estimate the resources and time required for data conversion from multiple, disparate systems

• Identify and document reporting functional requirements early in the implementation cycle. Multiple systems led to increased need for enhanced reports (Discoverer, 6i)

• Identify specific resources to focus solely on training course development and delivery

• Focus on the ‘people’ aspects of the implementation – Organizational Change Management is Key

• Ensure appropriate business representation from business units and regions worldwide throughout the implementation

• Don’t under-estimate the cross functional impacts to other departments (HR, AP, AR, Purchasing)
