Emphasis of Cheerleading – “The emphasis of cheerleading at the Middle School level should be different from that at the High School. There will be more emphasis on spirit, leadership, and physical activity.”

+Addendum to GCISD Cheer Guidelines The practice before a pep rally is always a mandatory practice to perform
in the pep rally routine.
When in uniform, a cheerleader may only have natural colored nails.
Cheerleaders must be in attendance 4 class periods to participate in scheduled cheer events. (Pep Rally, Practice, Cheer at games, socials) If the full day is missed the cheerleader may watch practice, but not participate.
Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and texting should portray CTMS in a positive manner.
Cheerleads along with a parent/guardian are required to help with the Math Science Fundraisers. (1st Saturday of December and end of February/beginning of March)
There is NO guarantee that every girl will cheer in every game. Each cheerleader must EARN the privilege to cheer through attendance, attitude, practice and responsibility of perfecting chants, cheers and dance to be preformed during games and competitions.

All parents will have the opportunity to join
They handle all finances not paid directly to Varsity.
At first parent meeting we will elect President (8th grade parent ) Vice President (7th grade parent) Treasurer (8th grade parent) Secretary (7th grade parent).
All parents will be asked to sign up for committees to help with specific events.
Team & Individual Fundraisers
