7 Managing Save Data
Check the statue in the towncenter to save your progress.The game wil l al so saveautomatically when you leavea dungeon.
Go to Settings from the title screen,and then select Delete to erase thesave data. To clear your blacklist(page 12), select Reset from theblacklist.◆ Data cannot be restored once
deleted, so please be careful.

8 Game Screen
Hearts are shared by al l threeheroes. They will be depleted whenany hero is hit by an enemy or hurtin some other way.
This will be depleted when you usecertain items or abil ities. I t wil lg radual l y repl enish over t ime.Energy is not shared by all threeheroes.

Rupees are the currency used in thisworld. You can use them to obtainitems in shops, among other things.Different-colored Rupees are worthdifferent amounts.◆ When you're in a dungeon, the
number o f Rupees you'vecollected in that dungeon will bedisplayed. In the castle and thetown, the total number of Rupeesyou have wil l be d isplayedinstead.
These will pop up automatical lywhenever a player does somethingof note, such as taking damage orcollecting a heart.
Each hero's color, energy gauge,and carried item will be displayed atthe top. Below that, you can seeeach player's name and out fit .Touch and hold another player'spanel to temporaril y focus thecamera on that player.
Each dungeon is divided into fourstages.
One fairy will be expended everyt ime you lose all of your hearts(page 10).

9 Setting Out for a Dungeon
Once all three players assemble onthe Triforce gateway, you will betransported to a dungeon.◆ You can also vis it dungeons
alone (page 14).
Talk to the Match Master to getconnected (pages 11, 12).
You can depart for a dungeon fromthe castle lobby. You can also talkto the people around there, examinethe walls for information about thegame, and check the completionprog ress of the Drabl andsdungeons.

Vote for the area and dungeonyou'd like to play. A roulette willdec ide your dest inat ion if thedecision is not unanimous.◆ Areas that you do not have
access to yet can still be selectedby other players.
◆ When t ime runs out, " I can' tdecide!" will be selected. Whenthis phrase is not displayed, thearea you have your cursor on willbe selected.
Once you complete a dungeon,will appear in the leftmost column ofthat dungeon's row. The other threecolumns are fo r the Drablandschallenges of those dungeons.

I f you ta lk to the king afte rprogressing through the game a bit,you will be able to undertake theDrablands chal lenges for areaswhere you have already defeatedthe boss. If you enter a dungeon aspart of a Drablands challenge, youmay find rare materials you wouldn'tnormally come across.

Once you have selected your outfit,you will proceed to the dungeon.The outfits have various effects.

10 Progressing through Dungeons
Items such as bowsand bombs can befound in dungeons.P ress to useyour equipped item.Using items depletes the energy inyour energy gauge.
Work together as a trio to makeyour way through the dungeon.Each dungeon has four sections,and you must c lear them al l tocomplete a course.
Approach anotherhero and press to pick them up.(This is cal ledmaking a totem.)You can even carry two heroes atonce. Only the hero on the bottomo f the to tem can move. Whencarrying a hero, you can press tothrow all heroes above yourself offthe totem. While in a totem, onlythe Link on top can use items.

If you lose all of your hearts, yourremaining fairies will be reduced byone and you will restart the stage. Ifyou lose all of your hearts with nofairies remaining, the game is over.
You will lose healt if you are hit byenemy attacks or fall into pits.You can find hearts to replenish yourhealth by defeating enemies, by cuttingdown grass, and in various other ways.
When you clear the final section of adungeon, you will enter a room oftreasure chests. Each of the threeheroes will open a chest and obtaina material.◆ By clearing dungeons, you will be
able to unlock new areas.

11 Playing with Nearby Friends

software.
One player will need to create a newteam. To do this, talk to the MatchMaster, select Download Play, andthen select Create a team whenprompted. Once that's done, simplywait for other players to join yourteam.
◆ Players without their own copy ofthe game will be restricted in thenumber of outfits they can buy,and w il l not be able to takepictures.
◆ In Download Play, you can orderoutfits from Madame Couture'sapprentice to the right of thelobby.
If at least one player in your groupowns the game, you can play withnearby friends who don't own thegame by using Download Play.
The Legend of Zelda: Tri ForceHeroes is designed to be playedcooperatively with three players. Youcan connect with other players inthe castle lobby.

Playing with People You Don'

Choose the areayou want to play in and whetheryou'd like to take on a Drablandschallenge or not, and then wait forother players to join the game.Once three players have gathered,you will be prompted to choose thedungeon and a specific Drablandschallenge. Once all that's done,you'll be ready to depart.◆ While you wait for players to join,

13 Competitive Multiplayer
Things Required for Local Play
● Two or three Nintendo 3DSsystems.
● Two or three ve rs ions of thesoftware.
◆ The Coliseum cannot be accessedvia Download Play.
The process of starting a battle atthe Coliseum is similar to entering adungeon using Local Play (page 11)or Online Play (page 12). You canbegin a two-player bat tle if twoplaye rs st and on the Trif orcesymbol.
In the Col iseum, located in thecastle basement, you can have two-to three-player bat tles by usingLocal Play or going online.

◆ If there is more than one player infirst place, no materials will beawarded.
Two or three heroes wil l bat tleagainst each other. If you run out ofhearts, you will faint, but you will berevived after a little while.The battle ends when time runs out.The final standing will be decidedbased on the number of remaininghearts and number of times youfainted. This will affect the numberof Rupees you are rewarded. If youwin first place, you will also get amaterial.

14 Single Player
When playing by yourself, the lowerscreen will look slightly different.
When playing by yourself, you cantake control of two Doppel dolls.Switch between the Doppels tocontrol them. You can ente r acourse by yourself from the Doppellobby in the castle.
By tapping this, you will skip thecurrent stage and proceed to thenext one at the cost of one fairy.However, doing this will make itmore difficult to obtain materials.
Your player name will be displayedon the panel corresponding to thecharacter you are in control of. Tapa Doppel Panel to switch to thatDoppel.
◆ You cannot exit the lobby as aDoppel. Switch to the green-garbed hero if you want to leave.

◆ Data received via SpotPass issaved to the SD card, so makesure you always have an SD cardinserted into your system.
While the system is in Sleep Mode,and even while the software is notrunning, the SpotPass feature willperiodically connect to the Internet(if available) and share information.
From Settings on the title screen,switch SpotPass to ON or OFF.Switching it on will enable you toreceive game-related data. If youwould like to stop receiving thisdata, you can turn this option off atany time.
From Settings on the title screen,switch Send play data to ON or OFF.Switching this on will allow your playinfo rmat ion to be shared withNintendo. If you would like to stopsending this data, you can turn thisoption off at any time.

If you select Miiverse when speakingto the Photo Bro in the gallery, thegame will pause and Miiverse willstart.You wil l then be able to postpictures and messages.
You can use the camera you receiveat the Miiverse Gal le ry to takephotos inside dungeons by pressing. The picture you took last will besaved in your album. Saved picturescan be viewed in the gal lery, orposted on Miiverse and shared withother players.
