Bibliography of Scientific Research at Robert Allerton Park,
Piatt County, Illinois
This bibliography includes publications in journals and books, Ph.D. dissertations,
M.S. theses, student reports, reports at conferences, and technical reports of scientific
research that used data from experiments, observations, or samples collected at Robert
Allerton Park. Considerable overlap often occurs among theses, technical reports, and
publications of the same author, but I have included them all because, even when
reporting on the same research, the various documents often contain somewhat different
information. I also include a few items written primarily for public consumption.
Although usually based upon previous reports, they often provide a different point of
view. Several of the documents cannot be accessed through the University of Illinois
library or online, but those items are on file at Allerton Park.
I have examined all references cited here and confirmed that the work used resources
at Allerton Park. Occasionally, a reference mentions only Piatt County or central Illinois
or shows a location on a map but does not explicitly acknowledge Allerton Park. In cases
when the location cannot be inferred from previous documents, I have contacted an
author to confirm that at least some of the research or collecting was done at Allerton.
If you know of any corrections or missing references, please send them to e-mail
address given above.
