Curriculum The curriculum used in Alliance française du Bengale is based on
the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(CEFRL).
BASIC
Elementary Level A1: For complete beginners. You will be able
to communicate in daily life, speak about yourself, your work,
your family, your hobbies and your immediate environment
Intermediate Level A2: Communication with a wider range of
grammatical structures and vocabulary. You will understand
different types of written documents and be able to talk about
past and future plans.
INDEPENDENT
Advanced Level B1: Communicate in a more organized way in
order to deal with matters related to social issues in France:
give your opinion and maintain a discussion.
Advanced Level B2: Communicate more autonomously by using
a wider range of expressions, vocabulary and written skills.
Higher degree of independent usage.
PROFICIENT
Superior Level C1: Communicate fluently with creative talent on
various aspects of French culture and civilization. Appropriate
and fluent expression.
Superior Level C2: Very advanced level of communication. You
are able to understand and speak about every subject without
any difficulties.
Conversation Classes
We conduct conversation classes with our French professors to
help strengthen oral fluency.
₹ 1500 per session, 6 classes per session
B1: Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2: 30 pm
B2: Sunday from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
C1/C2: Saturday from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm
Private tuitions
We organize private tuitions for single individuals or small
groups. Classes at a flexible time, at our premises or your home
or office. Rates starting at Rs. 990 per hour on weekdays, Rs.
1090 per hour on weekends.
Session 1805 (August 2018): 8 weeks
Beginner Classes
Regular course: A1 (A1.1+A1.2): 120 hours
For those who are ready to invest their time learning French
despite their busy schedules during the week.
Weekdays: 3 days a week, 2h 30 minutes per day
Weekends: Saturday and Sunday, 4h per day.
Intensive course: A1 (A1.1+A1.2): 120 hours
For those who can spend more time learning French, as one of
their main projects during the days of the week.
Weekdays only: 5 days a week, 3 hours per day
Non-Beginner Classes (A1.2 to B2.4)
Regular Course:
A1.2 to A2 Classes
Week days: 3 days, 2 hours 30 minutes a day
Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, 4 hours a day, morning or
afternoon.
B1 & B2 Classes
Week days: 60 hours per session, 2 hours 30 minutes
Weekend: 56 hours per session, 3 hours 30 minutes, morning or
afternoon
Intensive Course: A2 (A2.1 +A2.2): 120 hours
Monday to Friday, 3 hours a day, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
