Your head has to be in the game,
whatever game you’re playing.
Out there on the court,
or on the field, or in the race
it’s your awareness
of the situation, the score,
the strategy of the moment
that makes an athlete a real teammate -
and a real teammate is winner every time.

DONATING
Here is how it works:
You give up (sacrifice, do without) some small, routine
extras for yourself (like a Gatorade, Swiss Roll, or a cup
o’ coffee) and you contribute some of the cost of that
“extra” thing towards a bigger necessary thing that will
help the people who share your town, country, or planet.
You may be personally inconvenienced, but the trade-off
is that organizations that make our town worth living-in
will thrive, and so will we.
Thank you.

someone to brighten the day

always a tropical 72 degrees, never a bothersome cross-wind,
manicured fairways, fast greens, and a modest greens fee...like 25¢.

It’s Robert Frost, right?
A really famous, really creative person, right?
The bad news about famous creative people
like Robert Frost is that I think YOU often feel
that creativity is some rare, one-of-a-kind gift
that only a few, like him, are entitled to practice.
Wrong.
Creativity is for all of us.
So draw, write, compose, make.
It’s our world to create.
Mr. D.’s stapled torn-paper bulletin board portrait of Robert Frost.
Created because, like you, he can.

Lincoln asked those assembled
“to be dedicated here to the unfinished work”
of those who had fallen.
Perhaps we can do the same.
