• EPRI announces decision to require >=80%
written exam score AND AP3 requirements
– IBEW/UA Credentials at 75%
– Practicable Portable Protocols (AP3) before
approval of STE compliance

Learning AND STE compliance changes:
– Revise the written examination process to requirean 80% or greater passing score.
– The NJATC can qualify for AP3 compliance and
transfer to the Local JATC.

Certification Changes
• Revision of Written Exam:
– Create Three Exams to replace single exam.• Mod 1 = Exam M1, 50 Questions, >80%
• Mod 2 = Exam M2, 50 Questions, >80%
• Mod 3 = Exam M3, 100 Questions >80%
– Create Online Testing for each exam.
• Individual and/or Group Testing
– NJATC Test Administrator Proctor, no 3rd Party $$$
– Reduce waiting period before second chances.
• 2 week waiting period!!22
Certification Changes
• AP3 Compliance:
• AP3 requires that all JATC testing is performed
in the same manner, with the same subjective
grading, to satisfy the same testing objectives.
• NJATC obtains compliance and transfers to
local JATC through the Manual of Guidelines.
– No anticipated changes!!

– Offer Blended Learning to JWs.
• Increased numbers “in the pipeline”.
• Reduce $$s though online curriculum.
