Meetings with Members of Parliament Security Protocol for Parliament Hill AppointmentsYou must arrive at the appropriate building 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment, and check-in with security.
Much like airport security, you will be required to show photo identification, go through a metal detector, and your belongings will be scanned. Security will then contact the Member of Parliament’s office, and you will be either directed to their office or asked to wait for the Member’s staff to meet and escort you to their office.
If you have a second appointment and it is in the same building you must return to security between appointments, they will contact the appropriate Member’s office and announce your arrival.
If you have a second appointment in a different building, you will be required to go through the full security process again.

We are the workers who build Canada.Pipelines, bridges, power generating plants, family homes, office buildings, factories and roads — Canada’s private sector union workers get the job done by working with the Government of Canada.
Today, we need your help to remind the Government that we are their partner and that we contribute to Canada’s economic success.
