2nd Grade Math Vocabulary Resources
This file contains the template for My Math Vocabulary book (2nd Grade) and a
set of 131 Math Vocabulary Cards for your Math Word Wall. All vocabulary is aligned with the Common Core State Standards.
Before printing this file please read the following carefully: Pages 3 - 12 of this file contain My Math Vocabulary book. Before printing these pages set your printer to print on both sides of the paper and to flip pages up. This will ensure that the pages in the book are oriented correctly. Print one copy and follow the numbers at the bottom of each page to fold and collate in the correct order. If making a class set print one master copy and use your school photocopier to make additional copies. For added durability you may want to consider printing the cover page on cardstock.
The remaining pages in the file contain the 2nd Grade Math Vocabulary Cards. Be sure to return your printer settings to print on one side before printing these pages. For long term use print the vocabulary cards on white cardstock and/or laminate them. The last page in the file contains blank cards for additional words you may need to add to the set. You may also want to print extra copies of the blank cards and have students take responsibility for writing a definition to be displayed alongside each word on the word wall. If you laminate these cards students can use a dry erase marker to write the definition. Wipe them clean and reuse with each new unit. For strategies to promote effective use of your Math Word Wall see:
