The county and the city of Iaşi
ROMANIA
Our town, Iaşi, is located in the region Moldova, which is the eastern part of Romania. On the map, Moldavia is colored in orange. As you can see on the map, today’s Moldavian Republic and parts of Ukraine are also colored in orange, because in the past they were Romanian regions too.
Iaşi was the capital of Moldavia since 1561 to 1861.
