YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS

SENIOR HIGH YOUTH MINISTRY Senior High youth ministry will meet on Sunday, January 13th, in Russell Hall from 6:00–8:00 p.m. for THE OREO CHALLENGE. Do you like the inside or the outside of an Oreo better? Tonight you will be challenged to be the judge. Riddle me this: What do an Oreo, a kiwi, and a mirror have in common?

Pizza will be served. We invite the Senior High Youth Ministry to attend the STEUBENVILLE EAST conference at the University of Massachusetts–Lowell Campus, on Friday, July 12th–Sunday, July 14th. Registration fills quickly and we hope you will consider attending this event with us. Each year, 3000 Catholic teens gather for this fun, faith-filled and inspiring weekend of music, worship, and speakers focused on teen-related topics. For more information, or to hold your spot, please contact Mrs. Hanshaw as soon as possible. Registration for this event begins January 15th, and sells out very quickly. All transportation and meals are included.

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH MINISTRY

Join us on Monday, January 14th , 7:00-8:30 a.m. in Russell Hall for a parent-inspired program–COMING FROM THE HEART. What does God want in our hearts? We will also be working on a project for Veterans who have served our country but are currently at Walter Reed Hospital and Medical Center. Pizza will be served. Youth Ministry Winter-Spring Calendars are now

available for Senior and Junior High in the atrium and vestibule of the church.

Devotional Schedule Tuesday, following daily Mass, Adoration; Wednesday following daily Mass pray the Rosary for peace; and, Friday following daily Mass The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is prayed.

Rel Ed Happenings! Mysteries of the Rosary were presented to our Grade 4 students over the course of several weeks. The Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous Mysteries, beautifully illustrated with large pictures on a poster board allowed the children to "see" and understand the episodes of Jesus' life and death in a concrete way. Each child brought Rosary Beads from home, or were presented with a set of beads in class and prayed the Rosary regularly in class.
