Demonstration Overview
• Purpose – demonstrate interoperability among analysis applications using semantic knowledge translation technologies
• Purpose – demonstrate interoperability among analysis applications using semantic knowledge translation technologies
• Applications in Use– AKEAAKEA – semantic graph and social network analysis application that constructs association graphs
across disparate information sources (PNNL)
– GeoTimeGeoTime – geospatial and temporal visualization, extended with pattern discovery, visual annotation, and report authoring (Oculus)
– Slate – a computational agent that assists analysts in evidence collection and marshaling, hypothesis tracking and generation, prediction and report generation (RPI)

Demonstration Scenario
• Collection and analysis of information related to explosives events in Baghdad
• Collaboration among three analysts with specific responsibilities– Collections Specialist – using AKEA to building
information packages around specific events
– Current Events Analyst – using GeoTime to analyze information packets created, draw connections between events, identify key actors
– Cultural Analyst – reviews in-progress analyses and provides relevant local cultural information using Slate

Information Collection w/AKEA
• Initial Tasking – assemble available information on two individuals identified in early morning house raid and information about subsequent afternoon explosion to determine possible linkages among them
