warranty. Is this correct?
a. Answer: Yes, please provide a one (1) year warranty.
2. Question: Section 1 titled “General Information and Requirements” subsection 1.1.1 is requesting
sealed proposals from a General Contractor and not directly from roofing subcontractors. Is this
correct?
a. Answer: Yes, sealed proposals must come from only the prime Contractor.
3. Question: Can you please provide the photo shown during the pre-bid presentation?
a. Answer: Yes, please see the attached photographs at the end of this addendum. Please note that
the contractor is responsible for their own field investigation.

5. Question: Please confirm that specification section 07-7200 3.11 does not apply.

if this is a project requirement?
a. Answer: Yes this is addressed in specification section 07-5000 1.15 A.1-4.

damage to buildings, grounds, and parking lots. Protect all plants from chemical or
mechanical damage.

daily to prevent debris from blowing around the site.
3. Return Landscaping to Original Condition - Parking lots, landscaping, yards, beds, or
grassy areas shall be repaired in a manner to return the area to the original condition
immediately following completion of the work.
4. Only Approved Dirt or Replacement Soil - Contractor shall submit samples of proposed
soil to be used to repair landscaping in advance with the same and location of the proposed
source quarry. The Owner shall have the opportunity to inspect the soil source quarry prior
to delivery of any soil to the jobsite, and the Contractor shall not proceed with bringing any
such materials on the site until the Owner has provided written approval.
9. Question: Please confirm the estimated duration of the project? Specifications section 07-5000 1.9
states that it could be as long as 60 days before work is to begin. Is this correct?
a. Answer: Please refer to RFP section 2.4 for project planning and schedule details.
10. Question: Will the manufacturer’s recommendations supersede the information in the drawings
and specifications?
a. Answer: The manufacturer will have right of rejection of any work that does not meet their
minimum standards for issuance of the warranty, but alternative details, substitutions and
value engineering options will not be considered unless the Construction Documents are in
conflict with the manufacturer’s minimum requirements.
11. Question: The specification section 02-4120 3.3 D states that the time for using power cutters is
only (1) one hour each morning. Is this correct?
a. Answer: The timing of these operations will be coordinated through UTHSCSA. Typically,
this work will need to take place before or after normal business hours and will need to be
arranged. In certain circumstances cutting may be permitted if it will not affect personnel in
the building.
