1. The final addendum 4, if required, will be issued Tuesday October 31st, 2017.
2. The bid form has been reissued under Addendum 3 (4 pages). Bidders to submit utilizing the attached “Addendum 3” form of tender. The adjustments are follows:
I. The four quantities of “Provisional Hot-Mix Asphalt Concrete Paving” have been
revised. II. Fort Rupert Reservoir Site – Sitework, Site Preparation: Quantity has been revised to
include necessary MOT permit adjustments and quantity verification. III. 15% contingency was deleted under addendum 2. IV. Line for GST added. V. Total Tendered Amount Line Added.
3. Section 11 70 00 One Way Flow Altitude Control Valve – 2.1 Main Valve
Approved product: Singer S106-PG & X107 Position Transmitter Proposed product: Cla-Val Model 210-01 Altitude Valve for One-Way Flow & X101 Position Indicator. Response: Approved
4. Drawing Revision: Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure permits were recently received. The following drawings have been updated to match the requirements within and Bidder to include the scope of work of each drawings in its entirety inclusive of the highlighted addendum #3 modifications:
I. C107 II. C108 III. C201 IV. C301 V. C303
5. Drawing C302 Note 1, 2, 8 is revised to refer to drawing C201.
6. Drawing C305 Item 22 revised the detail sheet reference to C202.

7. Added Scope: Altitude valve sensing line to be connected to the drain line with an additional 25mm thredolet and ball valve assembly accessible by a traffic rated brooks box complete with R20 rigid insulation fastened to the underside of the traffic rated lid. The pressure sensing line will be stainless steel with the diameter per the valve manufactures requirement installed in ground between the building and drain port connection. Cost for this addition to be added to Fort Rupert Reservoir Site – Metals, Stainless Steel Piping Outside Reservoir Footprint.
8. For Tender Item Mobilization and Demobilization shall the lump sum not exceed 10% or 5%? - refer to Section 01 01 01, Clause 1.1.4.
Response: Mobilization and Demobilization shall not exceed 5%.
9. On the Schedule of Quantities it states "GST shall be shown separately". Where do you want it shown? Response: Refer to item 2 above
10. Can HDPE be used in lieu of C900 for the watermain?
Response: No C900 only.
11. Can you please quantify or identify All Other Work under MASONRY? Response: Refer to Section 01 10 00 Measurement and Payment Article 1.5.
12. Is it possible to get pictures of the existing tank that needs to be removed along with pictures of the existing building that needs to be relocated? Response: Pictures are available upon email request to [email protected].
13. Drawing C305 Item 4A do the hand wheels need to be stainless steel? Response: No can be epoxy coated steel.
14. Drawing C305 Item 4C product alternative request Singer? Response: Yes pending approved shop drawings for equivalency.
15. On the schedule of quantities it calls for a 40mm of asphalt but when you look at the trench
details on the drawings it calls for 80mm of asphalt. Please clarify. Moti spec calls for the matching of the existing asphalt or is the asphalt going to be a standard depth of 80mm regardless of the existing depth? Also please confirm the depth of asphalt on non MOTI roads is 40mm and not the standard 50mm.
Response: Details 1 and 2 on C201 are shown incorrectly and are revised as follows:
The provisional pavement restoration shall be:
• 80mm thick (two lifts – 40mm upper course and 40mm lower course to Moti standards or MMCD depending on location) to the saw cut line shown in trenching details 10 and 11 on C201.
• All other extents of paving shown in the contract drawings shall be ground down 40mm and repaved with the upper course of the trenchline.
This applies to both MoTI and non-MoTI roads.

16. In the schedule of quantities there is a note that list what is to be included in the Watermain. In this note it does not list any surface restoration. This seems to be accurate as pavement restoration is to be included under “Hot Mix Asphalt”. But in your supplementary Specs “SS 33 11 01” 1.8.2 which describes payment for watermain to include all surface restoration. Please confirm Pavement restoration is to be paid as Item and not to be included in Watermain item.
Response: Pavement restoration shall be per the four quantities of “Provisional Hot-Mix Asphalt Concrete Paving” as revised in 2. I. above.
