Welcome to English Talents School!
Students will be qualified to join ETS according to their Academic achievements, their
behavior, and availability of places.
Priority for registering new students is given to those who have been accepted within
the criteria Listed below and according to the date of acceptance as well as the
availability of seats in the required grade.
New applicant students will be interviewed starting of December of each academic
year.
An entrance exam must be completed by the new students in (Arabic Language,
English Language, and Mathematics).
New students and their parents must be interviewed before admission.
The school preserves the right to reject the students who fail the entrance exams, or
the interview, or any other valid reason.
Priority is given to former students who register for the following scholastic year before
23rd of Feb of the current year.
Admission Process
New students joining English Talents will be charged a non-refundable fee of 200 JOD
upon enrollment.
Once the student is accepted, the parents are to contact the Accounting
Department to pay the registration fees within one week, otherwise priority will be lost.
Parents should complete the school's registration form and sign the payment
obligation and school contract.

Parents should submit the required papers to the school 1st of August of every year.
KG after school supervision is available from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. The cost of this service is
200 JOD per year per child.
KG - Gr.11 textbooks including international titles are payable separately.
The tuition fees do not cover external exams fees for Grades 10 -12 students. These
fees are paid on the due dates.
A Fee of 150 JD is charged to cover CAS expenses for Diploma students (Grade 11).
A payment of 750 JOD per student should be settled no later than Feb 22nd for place
reservation .This payment will be deducted from next year’s tuition fees.
To reserve a seat on the school bus for the next academic year, an additional fee is
required.
Payments can be made either in full, or by 3 post –dated Cheques which must be
deposited no later than10/6 of every year. Cheques must be dated as follows: 10/7,
10/10, and 10/2 of every year.
Books will not be issued or sold unless all tuition payments or cheques are settled.
Students are enrolled for a complete academic year; it is an unconditional obligation
to pay the total annual fee. Charges paid and / or outstanding are non-refundable in
cases of absence, dismissal or withdrawal. ETS reserves the right to withhold records of
withdrawing students until all due accounts are paid in full.
Parents must inform the Administration in writing before Feb.23rd of any scholastic
year if they wish to transfer the student from ETS.

Primary School: Cambridge Primary (CP)
Kindergarten: KG, KG2
Elementary School : Grades 1-5
Middle Years program (IBMYP): Grades 6-10
Diploma Program (IBDP): Grade 11 - 12
Section 1: Registration Procedures for New KG Students (KG1-KG2)
Admission to Kindergarten (KG1 & KG2):
A child is qualified to join KG1 when he/she is three years & 8 months old in
September.
A child is qualified to join KG2 when he/she is four years & 8 months old in September.
An interview form should be filled by the applicant guardian.
An interview should take place before registration.
Parents will be informed of interview results by phone.
Once the student is accepted, Parents should complete the school's registration form
and sign the payment obligation and the school contract.
Parents should submit the required papers to the school along with the registration
form.

Section 2: Age Requirements for Grade 1 Students
The process of admission into the first elementary grade is subject to rules and regulations
set by the Ministry of Education with regards to the legal age. A student must not be
younger than 5 years and 8 months in September.
Section 3: Registration Procedures for New students (Grades 1-12)
An interview form should be filled by the applicant guardian in addition to previous
year report card.
Students are requested to undertake an entrance exam to evaluate their academic
standards. This entrance exam includes three subjects: Mathematics, English
Language and Arabic Language.
An interview with students and parents should take place before registration.
Parents will be informed of the entrance exam results and interview by phone.
Once the student is accepted, Parents should complete the school's registration form
and sign the payment obligation and the school contract.
Parents should submit the required papers to the school during 1st of August of every
year.

Section 4: Registration Documents required from KG –G11 Students (For
Jordanian and non Jordanian Students)
Copy of the birth certificate certified by the Civil Status Bureau (for Jordanians Only).
Copy of the birth certificate for non- Jordanians.
Copy of the family book. (For Jordanians only)
Copy of the medical report (vaccinations record).
Two personal photos.
Copy of Passport.
Residency permit (For non-Jordanians).
Previous Year Report Card form previous school for KG2-G11 students.
Financial Clearance Form from the previous school
Recommendation Letter from the previous school.
Section 5: In addition to the previous documents, transferring
G2-G12 students from within Jordan require the following
The Registration Department at ETS should receive the above mentioned documents
with the student’s file, in addition to the following documents:

o After receiving an acceptance letter from English Talents School, parents
should bring Transfer letter from the previous school (certified from the
Directorate of Private Education done by ETS).
o All previous report cards submitted on ISO form, No.: MM3
o Results card
Section 6: Grades 2 - 12 student transferring from abroad require
the following in addition to the documents mentioned in section 4
o School Certificate & Transfer Certificate certified by the following authorities:
Ministry of Education in the country in which the student is arriving from.
Jordanian Embassy in the country in which the student is arriving from for Jordanians
OR Ministry of Foreign affairs for non-Jordanians.
Upon arrival to Jordan, parents should receive an acceptance letter from the ETS
Accounting Department, after paying the required tuition fees in order to complete
the registration procedures from the following authorities:
o Ministry of Foreign Affairs – (Airport Road / Tel: 5735150).
o Directorate of Examinations & Tests at the Ministry of Education, to attain an
approval letter for foreign programs / equivalency - (Jabal Weibdeh / Tel:
4624814).
Private Education Directorate / Capital Governorate, to attain an acceptance
approval letter – (Jabal Hussein / Tel: 4640023)

Section 7: Grades 2 - 12 students transferring from Saudi Arabia require the
following:
Report card & Transfer certificate certified by the following authorities :
o Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia.
o Jordanian Embassy in the country in which the student is arriving from for
Jordanians OR Ministry of Foreign affairs for non-Jordanians.
o Upon arrival to Jordan, parents should receive and acceptance letter from the
ETS Accounting Department, after paying the required tuition fees in order to
complete the rest of the procedures.
o After that, the report card and transfer letter should be certified by the
following authorities:
o The Saudi Cultural Consulate.
o Ministry of Foreign Affairs – (Airport Road / Tel: 5735150).
o Directorate of Examinations & Tests at the Ministry of Education, to attain
an acceptance approval letter for foreign programs / equivalency -
(Jabal Weibdeh / Tel: 4624814).
o Private Education Directorate / Capital Governorate, to attain an acceptance
approval letter – (Jabal Hussein / Tel: 4640023)

Section 8: Students transferring from USA, UK and Canada
Students transferring from USA, UK and Canada are required to obtain the latest report card
in a sealed envelope issued from the previous school and certified from the below
authorities, after obtaining an acceptance letter from the Registration Department at ETS.
If arriving from USA: AMID EAST (Wadi Abdoun / Tel: 5929994)
If arriving from UK: The British Council (Jabal Amman, 1st Circle / Tel: 4636147)
If arriving from Canada: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ontario, Canada) and then by the
Canadian Embassy. (Zahran Street, Jabal Amman / Tel: 5901500)
After that, the report card should be certified by the following authorities:
o Ministry of Foreign Affairs – (Airport Road / Tel: 5735150)
o Directorate of Examinations & Tests at the Ministry of Education, to attain an

Section 9: Palestinians
Palestinians coming from the West Bank, should obtain an acceptance letter from
Inspection Service department.
IBDP (Gr11&Gr12) Admission Policy
To ensure that students are placed into courses which are both challenging and
manageable, English Talents School allows access to the diploma programme for students
coming from other educational systems. The conditions are outlined below:
External Students
A. Students who are coming from an MYP school should have:
A minimum final achievement score of 4 in each of the following subject groups:
Language & Literature, Language Acquisition, and Individuals & Societies.
A minimum final achievement of 6 in Math and Science for HL and a minimum of 4 for
SL (an average score will apply if a student is enrolled in multiple subjects within a
subject group).

Completed the personal project and should have been engaged in a service as
community service requirements.
One teacher recommendation that addresses behavior, attendance, motivation and
self-discipline.
All applicants will be interviewed to determine their level of commitment and ability
to take personal responsibility for their learning, as well as their level of oral English
fluency. The primary purpose of the interview is to consider the applicant's potential to
succeed not only in their individual subjects but also in the core components of CAS,
theory of knowledge and the extended essay.
All applicants will have to sit for an entrance exam in the following subjects:
A. English
B. Arabic
C. Math
D. The student’s chosen scientific subject: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

Internal Students
A minimum final achievement score of 4 in each of the following subject groups:
Language & literature, language acquisition, Individuals & societies.
A minimum final achievement of 6 in Math and Science for HL and a minimum of 4 for
SL (an average score will apply if a student is enrolled in multiple subjects within a
subject group).
Completion of personal project and service as action requirements.
All candidates must sign a learning contract indicating their awareness of the rigorous
nature of the programme and constituting their commitment to meeting its
academic deadlines.
All candidates must sign an academic honesty contract indicating their commitment
to ETS’s policy of academic honesty.
The subject teacher and the DP coordinator will decide if the student should be
placed in the HL or SL section according to his/her previous achievements in that
certain subject.
