The Microstrip Patch Antenna is a single-layer design which consists generally
ground plane, substrate, and the feeding part)
A Micro-strip patch antenna consists of a radiating patch on one side of a dielec
has a ground plane on the other side.

Basic Principles of Operation
-Microstrip patch antenna consists of a radiating patch on one
side of a dielectric substrate with a continuous *etal layer
bonded to the opposite side of the substrate which for*s aground plane. T
-The patch is generally *ade of conducting *aterial such as
copper or gold and can ta'e any possible shape. A patch antenna
is a narrowband, wide-bea* antenna fabricated by photo
etching
-The patch acts approi*ately as a resonant ca+ity (short circuit
walls on top and botto*, open-circuit walls on the sides).
-"n a ca+ity, only certain *odes are allowed to eist, at different
resonant freuencies.
-"f the antenna is ecited at a resonant freuency, a strong field
is set up inside the ca+ity, and a strong current on the (botto*)
surface of the patch. This produces significant radiation (a good
antenna).
