Lessons Learned
What worked: Small group sessions
Students completing sessions showed improvement in attendance and grades
Individual academic review with parents Specific graduation plans were written
What didn’t work (Limitations): Number of students that left for alternative
settings Number of participants decreased
Next Steps:
Continue early academic review conferences with parents
Conduct study skills group at end of 9th and/or beginning of 10th grade
The counseling team would like to thank the teachers, staff, and administration for their dedication in working as a team to promote the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. The continued support of the counseling department is truly appreciated.
