Aluminum Roll
Jacketing
The standard for industrial use.Recommended over insulated lines up to36" O.D. including insulation.
A heavier weight jacketing used on largerdiameter lines and large equipment up to 8feet in diameter.
Used in special applications where extrathickness and protection is required, suchas fabricated tank head covers and otherspecial fabrications.
Available in rolls, where extra heavygauges are required because of severemechanical abuse or special fabricatingrequirements, such as flat ducts orprecipitators. Also recommended forareas subject to high wind conditions.

Commercially pure aluminum is relatively soft asstructural material. Its strength can be greatly im-proved by alloying aluminum with small percentagesof one or more other elements such as manganese, silicon, copper, magnesium or zinc. Additionalstrength can be achieved by cold working, such as coldrolling.

POLYSURLYN MOISTURE RETARDER
Polysurlyn consists of a 3 mil thickness of a co-extrusionof polyethylene and DuPont's Surlyn® which is heatlaminated to the metal jacketing. Due to its superiorperformance characteristics, it replaces the old standard1 mil and 3 mil polykraft moisture retarders. For coldrooftop and hot work cyclical applications, refer toTechnical Information for recommendations.
