First Year P-Cycle students visit to Art of Living (Sri Sri Ravishankar Ashram)
on 06/09/2018
Facilitaror: Dr. Vinod Kumar
AOL Volunteer’s: Rekha, Preethi, Praveen.
Staff accompanied: Dr.Mini.V (HOD PHYSICS), Dr.Chakradhar (Asso Proff Dept.
of Physics), Roopa V (Asst. Proff Dept. of Physics), Kavya S (Asst. Proff Dept. of
Physics),Mallikarjun (Instructor- Dept of Physics)
Students from first year BE Classes (Physics cycle-A,B,C,D)
In four AMCEC buses- in each bus one section students with their respective class
Incharge, we started our exciting journey (First out door trip) to Art of living campus
at Kanakapura Road Bangalore.
We reached by 9.45am. AOL Volunteers took the students to yoga hall. The group
of 10 students were headed by each group leader and volunteers, the session was
started by the AV of SRI SRI Ravishankar. With the volunteers whatsapp group
was created “AMC2@AOL”. It was followed by a brief Introduction of Dr.Vinod
Kumar and they gave a task to explore AOL Campus by taking 22 photos in 1 hour
and report by 12.58pm. This was done to Explore nature, inculcate creativity in
student life and effective use of mobile phone.
The next session was dance followed by yoga and meditation for 20 minutes
(regarding overcoming fear and stress management). Before breaking the session
for lunch every group was instructed to make 1 min video about their experience in
AOL. The vegetarian lunch went on for next 20 minutes to half an hour- this gave
an experience about the importance of togetherness. After reporting to the
session the oral feedback was taken from each student-to improve communication
skills.
39
One chart paper was given to each student to express their overall experience in One
Word with the beautification in the chart, then everyone of us were educated to thank
one another and we also understood the importance of thanks giving in ones one life.
It was overall a very good experience that streamlined our own thoughts and action,
how it can be instrumental in making our lives more meaningful and balanced.
They stressed on the uniqueness of every individual.
We thank whole heartedly the management and Principal of AMCEC and all who
supported directly and indirectly in smoot going and grand finishing of this colorful
experience which we will carry in our memory.
