Survey Participation/Employment StatusGraduating students are surveyed at the point of graduation and up to 6 months after graduation. Data are included from a variety of additional sources such as faculty, staff, employers and our online job search system, Starr Search. A total of 3,587 students graduated in 2018. Outcomes are known for 2,256 of those students.
Overall, 82.31% or 1,857 out of 2,256 students who have provided outcomes data, are either employed and/or attending graduate school while 16.58% or 374 students were still looking for a job and did not plan to go to graduate school.

Recruiting/Career Counseling ActivityCareer counseling activity is divided into Online and In-Person sections. Online activities relate to our online career management system, Starr Search. Students can apply for jobs, schedule appointments and sign up for OCR interviews. In-person activities include career consultations, walk in appointments, event atten-dance and mock interviews. These activities cover all students who interacted with the center, including the class of 2018.
Over 80 companies came to campus to recruit students in 2017-2018. A few of these companies are highlighted below.

Employed vs. Unemployed Activity
Career related activities are used to compare employed and unemployed students. The comparison is made between students of the 2018 graduating class only. On average, employed students have 1.5 internships while at Baruch, compared to 0.9 internships for unemployed students. 46% of the surveyed stu-dents reported having one or more internships before graduation.

Activity averages for the class of 2018 are compared be-tween employed and unemployed students. On average, employed students are more involved in the job search process and utilize our career services more often. They have more career counseling appointments, apply for more jobs, attend more events and use Starr Search more often than unemployed students. The difference in GPAs be-tween employed and unemployed students is negligible.

Top Employers by Position TypeOverall, 1,135 employers hired 1,478 students of the graduating class. For full time positions, 702 students were hired by 550 employers while 274 students were hired by 243 employers for part time positions. Consistent with recent years, 90% of employers hired one student. Only 5% of employers hired 3 or more Baruch students.
