Directions
To access the Pacific Crest Trail, take exit 14 from I-5 near Ashland. Take Hwy 66 east for 17 miles. A trailhead is located at the Greensprings summit. From here, follow the trail six miles north to Hyatt Lake or 12 miles south to Pilot Rock. To reach the Hyatt Lake Recreation Complex, continue past the summit on Hwy 66 and turn left onto East Hyatt Lake Road. Follow this road for three miles, staying to the right, until you reach the Hyatt Lake Recreation Complex. The main campground entrance is on the left.

The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail and the Hyatt Lake Recreation Complex are two of the most convenient ways to experience the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. Hyatt Lake offers camping and family recreation, while a hike on the trail gives visitors an op-portunity to explore the Monument’s exceptional diversity first-hand.
HyAtt LAke recreAtion compLex
Nestled in the Cascade Mountains in the northern part of the Monument, Hyatt Lake provides opportunities for camp-ing, hiking, fishing and boating. The BLM manages Hyatt Lake Campground, a seasonal facility with 56 campsites, access to hiking, and a playground for kids. For information, call 541-482-2031.
pAcific crest trAiL
Hikers and horseback riders can traverse much of the Monument on the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. A trail segment between Soda Mountain and Pilot Rock offers scenic views of Agate Flat, the Soda Moun-tain Wilderness Study Area, and Mount Shasta.
•�Much�of�the�Monument�is�undeveloped�and� necessities such as water are not readily available.
•�Substantial�amounts�of�private�property�are�found adjacent to the Monument. Please respect and avoid private property when exploring the Monument.
•�Help�protect�fragile�plant�communities�by�stay-ing on established trails. Cross-country travel by bicycles and vehicles is prohibited.
•�Please�follow�Leave�No�Trace�Principles�and�pack��out all personal possessions and trash.
•�Allow�others�a�sense�of�discovery�by�leaving�rocks, plants, archaeological artifacts and other objects of interest as you find them. Removal of these objects is prohibited by law.
