BID AND PROPOSAL COORDINATOR APPRENTICESHIP

THE FACTS

What is it?● A structured entry point to the Bid and Proposal profession

Who should go on it?● Anyone looking for an exciting career as a bid and proposal professional

Who will do the training?● There are a number of companies approved to provide the training, these can be found on the Insititute of Apprenticeship’s website

What qualification will apprentices receive?● The end point assessment provides a certificate of training, plus apprentices will be ready to take the APMP Foundation Certification Exam 

Do I need to recruit?● It is open to existing employees and new recruits

What commitment is required?● Employers – provide on-the-job training and a mentor● Learners – be enthusiastic and attend training provided● Training provider – provide suitable training to achieve the end point assessment standard

What will apprentices learn?● Knowledge of the bidding process best practice together with the roles and responsibilities of the team● Skills of organisation and planning, writing and editing, team working and relationship building● Behaviours required are initiative, flexibility, interpersonal awareness and results focussed

Do apprentices have to be APMP Members?

We strongly recommend that the employer

invests in the apprentice to become a student

member of APMP so that they can access our Body of Knowledge, which is the industry

best practice

WHAT’S THE COST?

The government (through the apprenticeship levy) funds the training up to £8,000, which includes the end point assessment
