The Arbel Cliff featured eight cave complexes, in use since Herodian

times.The ruins are

remnants of a 17th century Druze fortress .

Judean viper’s bugloss (Echium Judaeum)

Climbing up to the top of the Arbel Plateau, to close the

loop on our way back to the parking area

The 4th century CE synagogue of Arbel, destroyed probably in the big earthquake of 749

The day’s last anemones .
