Assessment OverviewThe Purpose of this Handbook
This handbook contains your formal assessments for this course. During eachassessment, you have the opportunity to demonstrate core competencies that proveyour capabilities working on a 4100ES Fire Alarm System.
Grading
Grading is done on a Competency Score Sheet (contained at the end of this book).
The Competency Score Sheet lists critical skills necessary to pass this course.The sheet also specifies the opportunities throughout the course where you candemonstrate your ability to perform these skills (e.g., Assessments 2-2 and 4-1).
You have more than one assessment opportunity to demonstrate some competencies.You may only have a single opportunity to demonstrate other competencies.
Note: You are not assessed on any competency that you have not had time to practice. Once you have demonstrated the ability to perform a competency, your instructor
initials a box on your Competency Score Sheet to indicate this accomplishment.
You must demonstrate your ability to complete ALL core competencies to become aCertified Technician on the 4100ES Fire Alarm System.

3. Write the equation necessary to override the energy management programming
(which cycles the supply and exhaust fans ON and OFF every 15 minutes betweenthe hours of 8AM and 5PM at a Priority 9,9) when an alarm is reported from thesecond floor.
Your equation must negatively pressurize the second floor and positively pressurizethe first and third floors when an alarm is reported on the second floor.
4. Call the instructor to your workstation when you are finished.
