Bosch has picked up a 26 per cent stake in SUNMobility through its investment vehicle Robert BoschInvestment Nederland B.V. With this new partnership,both the companies intend to work on critical areas ofinteroperable energy infrastructure to accelerate massadoption of electric mobility in the country.

Ashok Leyland has expanded its LCV portfolio with the launch of the BADA DOST, increasing its addressableshare in the domestic LCV market. Equipped with the latest BS-VI engine, the vehicle comes in two variants, i4and i3, with a best-in-class payload capacity of 1,860 kg and 1,405 kg, respectively.

Nitin Seth, COO, Ashok Leyland, the main man behindthe development of new LCV platform, said: "Since thelaunch of first DOST in 2011-12, we continued to winmarket share, despite a lean portfolio. DOST brand withits car-like experience and customer centric approach,has earned customers’ trust."

Positive customer feedback and findings fromintensive practical tests with electric trucks fromMercedes-Benz, FUSO and Freightliner show that theelectrification of road freight transport is alreadyfeasible today. In addition, the electric city busMercedes-Benz eCitaro is already in seriesproduction since 2018 and in customer use in variousEuropean cities.

As part of its electrification strategy, Daimler Trucksplans to offer electric vehicles in all its main salesregions by 2022: from the FUSO eCanter in the light-duty segment, the Freightliner eM2 in the medium-duty segment, and the Mercedes-Benz eActros andthe Freightliner eCascadia in the heavy-duty segment.For Editorial / Advertisements

The BADA DOST is being launched initially in seven states and will gradually be available pan-India over thenext three months and is open for bookings and delivery through both, physical and digital platforms.

"It (BADA DOST) will be built at our newly installed,state-of-the-art, first fully robotic cubing line at Hosur.Backed by 24×7 service support and best customerexperience, this will truly be an example of our BrandPhilosophy ‘Aapki Jeet, Hamari Jeet’" he added.

Bosch’s global exposure with regard to key areas offuture mobility is expected to bring in more synergiesto the Indian start up’s plans and vision. Established in2017, SUN Mobility is a joint venture between MainiGroup and SUN Group.
