§ 9 Abs. (1) SPO:
„It is only allowed to register for a examination of the elective
curriculum, if the student has already received 120 credit points
from modules of the compulsory studies (1.-4. semester).
But …..
…The proof of the 120 credit points from the compulsory
curriculum has to be given to the Examination Office at latest
before the 4th examination registration to the core studies.“
So… 3 registrations to an examination for electives are possible .

Example for a better understanding of… § 9 IBE SPO 10/2015
• A student was sick and reached only 100 credit points in the end of
the 4th semester.
• Because of sickness she/he still needs to gain 20 credits from
compulsory modules (1.-4. semester studies) during his 5th sem.
• Nether less she/he may register for up to 3 examinations from the
core (elective) studies.
Note:
A registration to an examination is not a passed examination

Compulsory Elective Modules (30 CP):
will be assigned to one of the offered specialization tracks
(PSP) according to the chosen/passed examination of elective
modules (6 electives with 5 CP for each)
Students need to choose 2x3 elective courses + 1 project seminar on their own!
Build your schedule by yourself and follow your International Business and/or
International Economics interests.

Be prepared! An offering during the summer term 2019 can be not counted with (special number of

International Economics and/or International Business
= receive optimal preparation for:
bachelor thesis
future master studies and the later career
Some chairs, master study program may require special seminars, specialization
tracks. For example: the master study program ORBA (Operations Research and
Business Analytics) is related to the project seminar “Quantitative Methods for
Production and Logistics”. IMME (International Management, Marketing,
Entrepreneurship) to “Business Plan” and “Managerial Job Market and Corporate
Gov.” to FINEC (Financial Economics).

Proof of the successful passing of the compulsory curriculum with 120 CP (academic skills included)
plus project seminar (the topic of the project seminar is NOT important).
Bachelor Thesis + Seminar (presentation) students will gain 15 CP.
Grading: 80% written thesis and 20% presentation
Retake: Once, in the following semester.
Note:
the module bachelor thesis + seminar will be offered each semester
Important:Pick up the language certificate “2nd foreign language” from the Examination Office of the Sprachenzentrum and
