Gozzy Rock is the City of Gosnells’ annual contemporary music competition, which promotes original music from emerging bands across Western Australia. Entries are open to WA bands of any style or genre.

To be eligible, your band:• Mustplayoriginalmusic• Mustbeanemergingband

(notformedformorethan2years)

• Mustnothaveadistributionorrecordingdeal

• MustnotbeapreviousGozzyRockwinner

• Mustbeavailabletoperformatallperformancedatesasdetailedonthisentryform

• MustbeavailabletoassistinpromotionofGozzyRockthroughmediacoverage,interviewsandadvertising.

About thE CompEtition

Step 1:EnteryourbandFollowthestepsinthe‘HowtoEnter’sectionofthisBandEntryForm.Entriescloseon thursday 20 December at 4.30pm.

Step2:JudgingpanelThejudgeswillreviewallcompletedentriesandsubmittedCDs.12bandswillbeselectedtoperformattheSemiFinal.

Step3:TheSemiFinalTheSemiFinalwillbeheldatAmherstVillageCommunity

Centre,cornerofHolmesStreetandWartonRoad,SouthernRiveron Sunday 24 February 2013 from 1pm to 7.30pm.

FromtheSemiFinalperformances, sixbandswillbeselectedtoperformattheFinal.

Step4:TheFinalTheFinalwillbeheldatCentennialPioneerParkAmphitheatre,GosnellsonSaturday 9 march 2013 from 3pm to 7.30pm.

ADDitionAl inFoRmAtion

AfullsoundsystemandbacklinewillbeprovidedatboththeSemiFinalandFinal.

AprofessionaljudgingpanelhasbeenrecruitedforGozzyRock.Alljudgeshavebeenchosenfortheirexperienceandknowledgeofthemusicindustry.

Atallstagesthejudges’decisionwillbefinal.ShouldanybandbeunavailabletoperformattheSemiFinalorFinal,thejudgesreservetherighttoreplacethemwithanothershortlistedband.

ThewinnersofGozzyRock2013willbeannouncedattheconclusionoftheFinal,atapproximately7pm.
