February 2016 Newsletter
January 27 2016
I grew up in a family with a deep appreciation and love for our Country and its service members however we were not a military family nor did we live in a military town. At the time I got married, I had no idea what it meant to be a military spouse nor did I understand the sacrifices that came along with it. It wouldnt have mattered though; I love my husband
deeply and would have followed him to the moon. Like most of us, I did not choose this life, I chose him. The life was just part of the deal. And although I may not have truly understood what it meant to be a military
spouse or have an air force family when I got married, those are two
things I have come to love completely, with my whole heart. Patriotism is defined as an emotional attachment to a nation which an individual recognizes as their homeland. There is no one more patriotic than a service member and their family. As we serve proudly with our spouses we are united by our patriotic spirits, love of country and service to our air force community. This Valentines Day as we take time to celebrate the one we
love also celebrate what we got with them, an Air Force family and a great Air Force community that makes it possible to support those who serve.
I love a military spouses heart
We serve proudly with our spouses not only because we love them but because we love our country.
