3. ALL CONCRETE WORKS SHALL BE STRICTLY INACCORDANCE WITH THE DRAWINGS AND STRUCTURALSPECIFICATION FOR WORKS SUPPLIED BY DBFL, THERELEVANT CODES OF PRACTICE AND WITH PART 1 OF THENATIONAL STRUCTURAL CONCRETE SPECIFICATION FORBUILDING CONSTRUCTION (FOURTH EDITION). WHERETHERE IS A CONFLICT BETWEEN THE NSCS AND THE DBFLSPECIFICATION FOR WORKS, THE DBFL STRUCTURALSPECIFICATION FOR WORKS SHALL TAKE PRECEDENCE.

4. FRESH CONCRETE SHALL BE SAMPLED AND CONCRETETEST CUBES SHALL BE MADE, CURED AND TESTED INACCORDANCE WITH THE DBFL STRUCTURAL SPECIFICATIONFOR WORKS.

5. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL WATER BE ADDED TOCONCRETE TRUCK MIXER DRUM BEFORE DISCHARGE ONSITE. ANY CONCRETE MIX SO MODIFIED WILL BE DEEMEDTO BE NON -CONFORMING AND WILL BE CONDEMNED.

6. ALL FOUNDATIONS, BASES AND THICKENINGS TO BEFOUNDED ON VERY FIRM TO STIFF DENSE BROWN/BLACKCLAY STRATUM. WHERE THIS IS NOT PRESENT ATFORMATION LEVEL THE AREA IS TO BE BROUGHT DOWN INCONCRETE TRENCH FILL TO THIS BEARING STRATUM. ALLFOUNDATION EXCAVATIONS TO BE INSPECTED BY DBFLCONSULTING ENGINEERS. MIN 50mm CONCRETE BLINDINGTO BE PLACED UNDER ALL FOUNDATIONS, BASES ANDTHICKENINGS. REFER TO DBFL STRUCTURALSPECIFICATION FOR WORKS AND DRAWINGS FORCONCRETE BLINDING AND TRENCH FILL SPECIFICATIONS.

7. ALL INSULTATION, WATERPROOFING, FIRE PROTECTION,DAMP PROOFING AND THERMAL BREAKS TO ARCHITECTS,FIRE CONSULTANTS OR SPECIALIST DESIGNERS DETAILS.

8. ALL VENTILATION OPENINGS IN RISING WALLS AND RADONSUMP REQUIREMENTS TO ARCHITECTS OR SPECIALISTDESIGNERS DETAILS/REQUIREMENTS.

9. CORROSION PROTECTION OF INTERNAL STEELWORK TO BEAS FOLLOWS:• STEELWORK TO BE BLAST CLEANED TO

SWEDISH STANDARD SA2.5.• BLAST PRIMER TO BE A TWO PACK EPOXY ZINC

RICH PRIMER APPLIED BY AIRLESS SPRAY TOGIVE A DRY FILM THICKNESS OF 25 MICRONS.

• SITE HOLDING PRIMER TO BE A HIGH BUILD ZINCPHOSPHATE MODIFIED ALKYD PRIMER APPLIEDBY AIRLESS SPRAY TO GIVE A DRY FILMTHICKNESS OF 75 MICRONS.

10. STEELWORK ENCASED IN CONCRETE TO BE LEFTUNPRIMED.

11. CORROSION PROTECTION OF EXTERNAL STEELWORK ANDSTEELWORK IN CONTACT WITH OUTER LEAF (NOTCROSSING CAVITY):• STEEL TO BE SHOT BLASTED TO SWEDISH

STANDARD SA 2.5 WITH IS EN ISO 1461• STEEL TO HAVE A MINIMUM ZINC COATING = 115

• CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE TO BE PROVIDEDBY THE GALVANISING CONTRACTOR GIVINGAVERAGE ZINC THICKNESS ACHIEVED.

12. ALL STEELWORK BELOW GROUND LEVEL TO BE ENCASED IN100mm THICK CONCRETE. STEELWORK TO BE CLEANED BYWIRE BRUSHING TO REMOVE ALL LOOSE MILL SCALE. ALLTO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DBFL DRAWINGS ANDSTRUCTURAL SPECIFICATION FOR WORKS.

13. VERTICAL MOVEMENT JOINTS TO OUTER LEAF BLOCKWORK& BRICKWORK (WHERE NOT NOTED ON DRAWINGS) TO BEPROVIDED AT A MAXIMUM 6.0m AND 12.0m RESPECTIVELYUNLESS SPECIFICALLY AGREED OTHERWISE WITH DBFL.

14. MASONRY SUPPORTS SYSTEM (WHERE NOT NOTED ONDRAWINGS) TO BE PROVIDED IN AREAS WHEREBRICK/BLOCK ELEVATIONS EXCEED 3 STOREYS IN HEIGHT.LEVEL OF MASONRY SUPPORT SYSTEMS TO ARCHITECTSDETAILS/REQUIREMENTS.

15. ALL BLOCKWORK TO BE GROUP 1 (S7.5) FMDR U.N.O. ALLMORTAR TO BE M4 (ABOVE GROUND) AND M6 (BELOWGROUND) U.N.O OR SPECIFICALLY AGREED WITH DBFLCONSULTING ENGINEERS.
