Name? That’s just my first
name isn’t it?
Age? Well, I’m nearly 6. Didn’t know they wanted
an actual number.
What’s an ‘address’? All I know is I live with mummy and daddy.
They told me I’m booked for a double-hip replacement when
I’m just having my tonsils removed!
The receptionist and the computer
kept saying no.
The receptionist tried to cross-sell me the
double-hip replacement.
When I asked if the receptionist could speak with somebody, she just shrugged her shoulders.
I was asked to fill a customer survey
without a resolution of my problem.
The receptionist used bad language
in front of me although I’m a kid.
I was shocked and left.

HOW TO CONDUCT COFFEE SHOP TESTING IN 10 STEPS
Go to a coffee shop.
If time permits, dig deeper and ask them to explain anything that you didn’t understand.
Tell them you would like to show them some of your ideas and get their feedback.
If they agree, buy them the coffee and start the session while you wait for the coffee.
Tell them what your product / proposition is.
Show them your designs and give them a task to do.
Ask them to think aloud while they’re doing the task.
Note down what they like and dislike.
Thank them for their time. Go to Step 2.
Offer people to buy coffee in return for 10 minutes of their time.
