Classes I & II
Diya Painting and Decoration:
The children brought diyas from home, painted them in different colours and deco-
rated them with various kinds of decoration material.
International Day Of The Girl :
To commemorate the Day of the girl, children were shown videos on the re-lated subject followed by a discussion about respecting girls .
Book Mark Making : The children made book marks and wrote ‘I Respect My Mother’ on one side and ‘I Respect My Sister’ on the other side. They also made drawings of their mother and sister on both the sides of the book mark.
Movie / Video on ‘Energy Conservation’ was shown. The following things were discussed : a) Save water
b) Save electricity
c) Do not waste food
d) Plant more trees
e) Say ‘No to plastic bags’
Art Competition on ‘Pollution Free Diwali’
The children were given different coloured origami papers to tear and
paste on the Rangoli design.

Events:
‘Festival of Flavours’ is an endeavor to initiate children to discover India through various
cuisines. The grandparents played a pivotal role in this learning journey with their expert
culinary skills that stirred the taste buds of the young learners. The love and blessings of
grandmothers were the added flavours in this event.

Special Assembly:
The children presented a dance-drama
on Govardhan Pooja. An enactment
from Sri Krishna’s childhood– when he
lifts the Govardhan Mountain to give
shelter to the people of Gokul and pro-
tect them from the wrath of Lord Indra
was showcased.
Wall Journal:
Tales of Shri Krishna:
An informative Wall Journal on “Tales of Lord
Krishna” was put up by classes I B and I C, where
in stories from every phase of Lord Krishna’s life
were depicted.
A Training Workshop on ‘How to Operate a
Fire Extinguisher’ was held to make the
teachers competent to tackle an emergency
situation.
Group Activities:
Maths: An activity was organised in the class
for the children of class 1 to revisit and revise
the concepts learnt so far in an interesting
manner i.e Learning by Doing.
Collage making activity (Class 2) on the topic
“Clothes We Wear In Northern ,Southern, East-
ern and Western India.”

Classes 3, 4 & 5
Special Assemblies:
Class 4E put up a special assembly on the topic ‘Our Girls, Our Pride’. The
assembly highlighted the achievements of Indian women and the need to
give women a chance to come forward.
Class 5F held an informative assembly on the topic “Our Torchbearers”. The
students spoke about some eminent personalities in the filed of education,
sports and industries.
Social Outreach:
A group of students visited “Vardaan Senior Citizens Home” with essential
commodities. They interacted with the senior citizens living there. It was
a happy and emotional moment for the inmates.
To bring joy in the lives of the less fortunate, the Junior School students
donated grocery items, which were
then given to two Non Profit Organi-
sations which provide meals to lep-
rosy patients and tuberculosis & HIV
patients.
Social Awareness:
To spread a message about the harmful effects of bursting crackers, the stu-
dents of class 5 undertook a neighbourhood walk. They interacted with the
residents and requested them to celebrate the festival of Diwali in an environ-
ment friendly way.
Trip:
The students of classes V E and V F went for an educational trip to
the “BrahMos Aerospace Museum.” It was a great learning experi-
ence for the students to understand about India’s achievements in
the field of missile development.

Activities:
Classes 3, 4 & 5 observed Science Days from 10th October to 12th Octo-
ber. The children demonstrated simple science
experiments and made small toys based on
scientific principles. An inter House Science
Quiz was also held and the winners were:
1st-Annapurna House,2nd -Vindhya House 3rd -
Kailash House.
English Days were observed from 23rd October to 25th October. The children wrote short stories on the top-
ic- “A Clean World” and short poems on ‘Pollution’. A debate on the topic ‘China A Threat To India’ was also
held in classes 4 & 5.
Maths Days were held from 30th Oct. to 1st Nov. The children did in-
teresting activities based on Mathematical concepts. Group activities
based on famous mathematicians, showcasing their lives and their
achievements were done in the class. An Inter House Math Quiz was
held. The winners were: 1st -Dhaulagiri, 2nd -Nilgiri, 3rd -Vindhya
A number of activities given by the Directorate of Education before
Diwali were undertaken . The activities were as follows:

To mark the International Day of the Girl, classes 3, 4 & 5 undertook
activities such as—Role Reversal, Letter Writing to mothers to show
a child’s love for her.
Achievements:
At the Inter-School Dance Competition held at Foundation School, our
children made us proud by bagging the second position. The winners
were Chhavi 5D,Aditri 5D,Ujjaini 5A,Basundhara 5E,Vridhi 5F,Aradhya
5C,Avishi 5C,Garvita 5C,Aditi 5C, Aaradhya 5D,Kavya 5F,Tisya 4C.
