Adult Bible Study
To provide adults with Scripture scholarship enhancing their understanding and faith formation, in the image of Christ.

Adult Server
To provide service at the altar, assisting the priests and deacon daily at Mass & funeral liturgies.
Ensure the bread, wine, vessels, and purificators are ready for consecration and distribution.
Prepare altar for liturgy including lighting candles & items for hand washing.
At funeral services; prepare the music board, prepare charcoal & incense, move Easter candle and light, get Holy Water & Pall out for use, turn on toll bell 15 minutes before the service.
At the end of liturgies-put all above mentioned items away.

Annulment Ministry
To be an advocate and support for parishioners to enter the process of applying for a decree of nullity.

Baby Bottle Campaign
To live the gospel of Christ reaching outside our membership to benefit the New Life Center Family Services.
Parishioners are asked to take home empty baby bottles to fill with change to benefit the New Life Center.
Baby bottles are placed in the back of church for pick-up on Mother’s Day and returned by Father’s Day.

Baptism Preparation
Our purpose is to prepare parents and godparents for the celebration of the Baptism of their child.
Interview with parents to complete paperwork. A preparation session (for first time parents) covers theology and
prayer. Rehearsal with the Presider in Church for Parents and Godparents Set up for Baptism.

Bereavement
To provide a meal and hospitality to those who have lost a loved one on the day of the funeral celebration and also to reach out in compassion such as anniversary dates of death.
Three teams of parishioners volunteer work in rotation to serve to bereaved families.
Call committee members & inform of date of funeral. Set up meal for bereaved families, pot-luck style, with dishes
dropped off by members of the Committee Order the appropriate amount of chicken once the number of
expected guest is given. Cook extra dishes as needed. Accept donations for the meal and give to Pastoral Associate. Clean up. Send sympathy card. Send letters at various dates of anniversary of death. Notify SNOWW (widows/widowers ministry) if appropriate, so invites
to group can be extended.

Bread for Life Food Pantry To live the gospel of Christ reaching outside our membership to our brothers and sisters living in poverty as part of the St. Vincent dePaul mission.
Follow Feeding America Guidelines to provide food to those in our community that meet the need criteria.
Offer client choice pantry to prevent food waste and provide a more dignified experience.
Volunteers needed to work with clients, sort food, stock shelves.

CemeteryTo oversee the corporal work of mercy of burying the dead as prescribe by Roman
Catholic Tradition.
Maintain cemetery grounds. Prepare grave. Keep Updated Maps Update Map as needed Volunteers are needed with some skill in working with equipment
and physically able to do manual work.
Centering PrayerOur purpose is to deepen our relationship with God through a deeper and contemplative prayer life.
Weekly Centering Prayer groups held Monday 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the parish hall.

Children’s Liturgy of the WordTo provide our children with an age appropriate experience of the Liturgy of the Word on a weekly basis.
Use prayer, along with the Lectionary readings, to bring the content closer to their understanding.

Chile Social Outreach
To live the gospel of Christ reaching outside our parish to our
brothers & sisters in Chile.
The congregation is provided with a list of items needed by the people of Sr. Mimi’s ministry in Chile.
Items can be dropped at church or in parish office. Volunteers needed to assist with the boxing of items for shipment.

Church Cleaners
To facilitate the celebration of the liturgies visually utilizing the gifts of
beauty & creation.
Group of two or three volunteers clean the sanctuary, east & east sacristy, breezeway twice per month.
Full church cleaning once per year with a group of 10-15 volunteers.

Church Decorating
To facilitate the celebration of the liturgies visually utilizing the gifts of beauty & creation.
Decorate the church in a way that enhances worship. Volunteers throughout the year to plan décor for Liturgical Seasons. Volunteers needed to assist with moving items for set-up.

Confirmation Preparation
To prepare children for the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation as is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace and initiation into the Church.
Communicate & work with candidates, catechists, school leaders/teachers, DRE & CRE, Priests, parents, and sponsors, to ensure the proper preparation to receive the sacrament.

CPR/First AidTo provide hospitality and assistance to all, especially those of special needs.
Provide first aid training as needed for CPR & AED. Check equipment occasionally to ensure it is in good working order. Assemble a first aid kit to be kept in church for emergency situations.

Eucharistic Devotion
Our purpose is to offer a meditative encounter with Christ in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
1-2 people are scheduled in hourly time slots for every hour the Chapel is available.

Facilities & Grounds
To develop a comprehensive long range plan for cleaning: maintenance; repair; and replacement of facilities, equipment, utilities, and grounds and implementation of that plan.
Various knowledgeable parishioners are needed with any level of carpentry, construction, painting, maintenance skills.

Finance CouncilOur purpose is to oversee the stewardship of the generosity of parishioners and donors according to diocesan policy and civil law.
Meetings held monthly. Ensure adherence to Archdiocesan financial policies & procedures. Review parish/school financial reports . Six month & year end reports submitted to the Chancery. Review fundraising. Ensure parish inventory is up to date. Make sure gifts are administered in accordance with the donor’s
wishes.

Funeral Ministries
Our purpose is to assist those grieving the death of a loved one in the celebration of funeral liturgy.
Work with the family to plan the funeral mass with readings & music that are meaningful to them.
Coordinate ministers at the funeral Mass. Communicate with the bereavement team for meal preparation.

Haiti Sewing
To live the gospel of Christ by reaching outside our parish to our brothers & sisters in Haiti by doing a work of mercy and helping to clothe the naked.
This group gathers four times in January & February in the Parish Hall to sew dresses & shorts for the children of our sister parish in Haiti.
Sewers & non-sewers are welcome, all ages, and all skill levels.

Haiti Social Outreach
To live the gospel of Christ reaching outside our parish to our
brothers & sisters in Haiti.
Raise funds & collect donations for our sister parish in Haiti, St. Francis Xavier and their school.
A small group of parishioners travel to Haiti each year to keep a personal connection with our sister parish and deliver supplies.

RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Red Cross Blood DriveTo live the gospel of Christ sharing our life giving blood.
Host Red Cross Blood Drives four times a year in the Parish Hall. Encourage donors through the bulleting, Face Book page, and local
paper. Three volunteers work the day of the drive in the canteen and to
escort /assist donors.

Religious Education for Children
To nurture our children in the practice and participation of the Catholic faith, including Sacramental preparation.
Catechists, Assistants, and Assistant DRE meet with grades 1-8 in St. Joseph classrooms and cafeteria on Sunday mornings.
Prepare children for their Sacraments. Special events are provided for the children and their families.

Respect Life Committee
Our purpose is to live the gospel of Christ witnessing the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.
Hold an annual prayer service in the anniversary of Row Vs. Wade. May Crowing Baby Bottle Campaign to fundraise for a local pregnancy support center. Memorial crosses on lawn of the church. Crosses in the church every October. Periodic meetings as needed

Room In the Inn
To live the gospel of Christ providing shelter to the homeless.
Host an emergency winter shelter Tuesday nights March – November.
Provide shelter, evening meal, breakfast, and sack lunches to homeless guests.
Volunteers needed to prepare meals, serve as overnight hosts, clean the Inn, wash linens.
All guests are vetted through local law enforcement for safety.

Rosary MakingOur purpose is to make rosaries for the missions in Haiti, Chile, and various parish needs.

St. Joseph Montessori Children’s Center
Our purpose is to guide young learners from ages 3-6 develop a lifetime of learning.
Educated over 1000 children since opening its doors. Multi-age classrooms, self correcting materials, encourage children
to find ‘inner peace’ to quiet themselves, each child learns at his or her own pace, hands on learning.
Summer Camps for continued learning and fun. Parent volunteers work to raise fund s for the center.

To provide hospitality to visitors & parishioners by sharing the rich history of our church.
Lead walk in & scheduled tours with knowledge of the history of the church.

To provide hospitality to all, especially those of special needs.
Extend a warm welcome to congregation as they enter the church. Assist people to their pews as needed. Assist with collection, offertory, and communion procession. Distribute bulletins after Mass. Provide calm, orderly direction when movement of people is
required. Collect & secure the gifts of the people. Restore worship space to order following departure of the assembly. Four ushers are scheduled for each Mass on a monthly basis.

Vacation Bible SchoolTo gather our children and deepen their understanding of the Sacred Scriptures and God’s love for them.
Host a three day VBS annually. Volunteers use a variety of tools to engage the children in a deeper
understanding of God’s Love and Scripture including: crafts, games. skits, and songs.

Our purpose is to feed, heal, engage, and empower parishioners in parish life.
