When our childrenleave for school, we
should feel confident that they will be safe.
Reality is however, today’s students feel

Being bullied can seriously affect a child’s physical and mental health. These affects can include:
o Feelings of sadness and lonelinesso Lack of confidence o Depressiono Physical complaints o School avoidance
What can be done to help?Parents, teachers and other adult/ professionals can offer help in a variety of ways.

o Be open to the possibility that the child may be a victim of bullying.
o Listen to the child and take them seriously.
o Avoid blaming the child for the action of others.

It’s easy to do nothing if you aren’t
the one being bullied.
We all need to realize that if we aren’t part of the solution, we are
part of the PROBLEM.
