THREE PRODUCTION PROCESSESOur favorite type of camo ring is one that’s durable--one that won’t easily scuff or chip! We bet that’s what you’re looking for too. The camo inlay is not scratch resistant, but there are some options that are better than others. At CAMOKIX you’ll mostly find rings with a protective coating. A few metal styles are also available but you won’t find any camo dipped rings or fully coated camo rings without an inlay.

Protective Coating Metal Inlay Camo Dipping
There are varying levels of quality. Genuine proprietary protective coatings will extend the life of the band because any jeweler can polish out scuffs.
These inlays are truly fascinating and the camo pattern is right on the metal. There is no protective coating and scratches can never be polished out.
This is the only process that can wrap a ring entirely in camo. It’s certainly a cool effect but you might want to opt for an inlay to lengthen it’s lifetime.

ALTERNATIVE METALS ARE EXTREMELY DURABLEThese hard metals are very popular in men’s wedding bands because they are scratch resistant, hypoallergenic and extremely durable. They are more affordable than traditional metals and too hard structurally to be resized.

TitaniumLightweight for long lasting wear and higher quality than steel. It will be a darker gray than cobalt or vitalium.
CobaltA very popular alternative metal for it’s scratch resistance and look of white gold or platinum.
ZirconiumStarts of gray like titanium and forms an oxidized outer layer under high heat--great for two toned styles.
VitaliumLooks like white gold or platinum and harder than Cobalt. It’s a fairly new alternative metal and very durable.
CeramicCamo rings are not made in ceramic but it’s popular because it’s not a metal and won’t conduct electricity.
Tungsten CarbideIt is the hardest metal but due to patents, it’s being used less by camo ring manufacturers in the USA.

Ring sizes vary by style from 5 to 20.
CONSIDER THE WIDTH OF THE RING WHEN GETTING SIZED
The wider the band (8mm - 12mm especially), the tighter the fit and the larger the size needs to be. Make sure youtake the width into consideration when being sized.

TIP: Go to a jeweler or Walmart to get sized. Some styles allow 1/4 inch sizes that aren’t listed and you can note the exact size you want at checkout.

Common FAQsHow wide should a camo band be for a man or a woman?Men’s camo rings typically range from 6 mm to 12 mm and the average width is 8 mm with a 4 mm - 5 mm inlay. Women’s camo ring sizes are usually 5 mm or 6 mm wide with a 3 mm or 4 mm inlay. The ring to the right is 6 mm wide.
How long will it take to get my ring?Each manufacturer and each style we carry at CAMOKIX are a little different ranging from 2 - 5 weeks to produce.
