This building services all students’ needs. It includes Enrolments, Liaison, Accommodation, Scholarships and Postgraduate departments.
2 Engineering PrecinctThis building has 4 wings: Mechanical, Civil & Natural Resources, Electrical and Computer, Chemical and Process Engineering.
3 Ernest RutherfordErnest Rutherford is the Regional Science and Innovation Centre, and has state of the art teaching, learning and research spaces for Science. You can pick up a self-guided map for this building in the foyer.
4 Puaka-James HightThis building contains the university’s central library, IT Services, and Academic Study Skills Centre. Visit the top floor for 360 degree views of Christchurch.
5 The UndercroftThis is a central hub for all of your needs. It has a copy centre, pharmacy, heat and eat, fast food shop, cafés and a restaurant.
6 RehuaRehua is the home of the College of Education, Health and Human Development, the Centre for Entrepreneurship and executive development programmes from the UC Business School.
7 Meremere This building is the centre for Business & Law and hosts a simulated business trading room with a live share market stock ticker. It also has a Moot Room (a mock court room), which was used for real trials by the Canterbury District Court following the Canterbury earthquakes.
8 Recreation CentreThis centre includes indoor squash and basketball courts, rock climbing, fitness classes and a gym. The gym is free for all students.
9 Health CentreThe centre has doctors, nurses and other health specialists. Most doctors’ appointments are free to students.
10 Haere-roaThis is a space for students to socialise, enjoy amazing events and engage with clubs. This building includes the Ngaio Marsh Theatre, Bentley’s Lounge, The Foundry student bar, club facilities and UCSA.
11 University BookshopThe bookshop has a range of books, gifts, UC merchandise and guarantees to provide all recommended texts for UC courses.
