A MOTHER’S PRAYER FOR HER CHILDREN
Holy Mother Mary,
Who by virtue of your divine motherhood,
Has become mother of us all I place the charge which God has
given me, under your loving protection.
Be a Protecting Mother to my children.
Guard their bodies and keep them in health and strength.
Guard their minds and keep their
thoughts ever holy in the sight of their Creator and God.
Guard their hearts and keep them pure
and strong and happy in the love of God.
Guard always their souls and ever
preserve in them, faithfully, the glorious image of God
whom they received in Holy Baptism.
Always Mother, protect them and keep them
under your Motherly care. Supply in your all-wise motherhood,
for my poor human deficiencies and protect them from all evil.
Amen.

Remember the story of the boy who cried, “Wolf”? He called it so often as a prank that when a wolf really came and he cried, “Wolf!” the villagers ignored him. Society only runs well if we can trust one another. This trust is like glue that holds us together. Truthfulness builds the trust necessary for relationships and community. Lies cause confusion and trouble. They can also hurt people. We have a right to know the truth. To safeguard this right, God gave us this commandment:
Bearing false witness means claiming that untrue information about a person is true. This is especially serious in court when a person’s future may depend on someone telling the truth. Lying after taking an oath to tell the truth is the crime of perjury. When Jesus was captured and taken before the authorities, some men falsely claimed that He had said and done things against the law. They bore false witness against Jesus.
THE POPE IS THE SOVEREIGN OF HIS OWN COUNTRY
As an independent nation, the Vatican City State is governed by the pope, who has full executive, legislative, and judicial power. Governmentally, it is one of a few remaining absolute monarchies in the world.
The Vatican’s sovereignty has been recognized since the fourth century.
The Church, under the term “Holy See,” has been a recognized international government since the fourth century. The term refers to the pope’s sedes, or chair, and is a symbol of the authority given to the pope by the Lord Jesus. The term “Holy See” distinctively refers to the Catholic Church as an international body, but also includes its temporal jurisdiction of the Vatican City State. As a recognized international body, the Holy See exchanges diplomatic relations with more than 180 countries, including the United States of America.
“Praise the LORD, all nations!” PSALM 117:1
Catechism People owe one another the truth, which makes it possible to live to-gether in peace (cf. no. 2469).
Our Sanctuary Lamp burns this
week for all mothers both living and
deceased.
8) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Jesus said, “ I am the way, and the truth,
and the life” (Jn 14:6). The closer we are to the truth,
the closer we are to Him!
May God Bless You and Protect You

WOW!
Congratulations to MARTHA STURTZ and her Food Pantry
crew! Last week over $25,000 was raised and
deposited in the Food Pantry account.
The demands on the Pantry are great and have caused it to be open an extra day each
week. It has been servicing an unbelievable number of clients during
this extremely difficult time.
LIVE THE LITURGY What do you imagine the resurrected life of heaven to be like? When we try to get our minds around such an enormous concept, we can easily find ourselves at a loss. For some folks, the enormity of the question actually causes them to ignore the reality of heaven or even conclude that it does not exist. Jesus knew that the magnitude and grandeur of eternal life are really too much for us to grasp. He kept it simple and described it in terms of relationship. The disciples treasured their relationship with Jesus, and He assured them, “Where I am you also may be.” Ultimately, that was enough for them to know. Strengthen your relationship with God as He is the way, the truth, and the life. Is the assurance that you will be with Him enough for you as well?
