*Course requires face-to-face meetings once per week (labs). Labs will be scheduled on Mondays between 4 and 6 PM.

reserve a spot at Westview in the event that you are not enrolled in the Virtual School.
Virtual Course Time Commitment(ESTIMATE)
• US History 1-2 = 5-6 hours a week
• Civics = 5-6 hours a week
• Economics = 3-4 hours a week (self-paced)
• Algebra 3-4 = 3-4 hours a week (self-paced)

Tips for Course Selection
• Use your course offerings list and 4-year plan as a guide to select classes
prior to using the course request window in MyPlan.
• When choosing courses, enter COURSE ID NUMBER ONLY - Do not search
by department.
• Choose 16 course numbers under the area labeled "Selected Course
Requests" and choose 4 course numbers under the area labeled "Alternate
Elective Requests".
• Make sure to select all four sections of linked courses (i.e. AP European
History1-2/Honors W. History 1-2 or Honors Pre-Calc 1-2/AP Calc AB 1-2).
• Some courses require you to enter in the same course number multiple times.
They are identified on the Course Offering list with an ‘M’ next to the name.
You will enter the course number:
Two times for a term (2 Quarters) or
Four times for an entire year (4 Quarters).

Log on to MyPlan using your Novell username & password
Once you have logged in, select the
Course Request link
Use this link to access the 4-year
plan, Course Catalog, Course
Offerings, Worksheets, etc.
READ DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY
You will use the COURSE ID Number to select your classes.
Do NOT Lock Course Requests
until you have confirmed that all 16
sections are entered correctly!!!
Course requests are now being accepted for the 2016-2017 school year. Students may use this site from March 16-April 1, 2016.
After April 1, students will no longer have access to choose or view course requests.
To add or delete courses, select the button that says “Click here to
change course requests”.

DO NOT SEARCH BY DEPARTMENT OR SUBJECT!
Enter the Course ID number and click “Search Courses”.
Remember Course ID numbers are found on the back of the 4-year Plan.
Once the course appears, fill in the
Request or Alternate bubble.
Select the button “Click here to move
selected requests to Selected Course
Requests” to add the class.
Repeat this process until you have selected each of the 16 sections and 4 alternate sections.
Make sure to choose ALL sections of Linked or Year-Long courses!
Make sure to choose Off Roll periods too!
Once you have finished selecting all 16 sections plus 4 alternates, select the
“Click here to return to course request summary” button.
After you have verified that all sections are entered correctly, select the
“Lock Course Requests” button and print a copy or take a photo of the
screen for your records. Once the course request window closes, you
will no longer have access to view your course requests.
