Cloud On-Demand Print (CODP)
Operational Procedure

A new printing option will be available in April 2018.
You won`t have to use PCs in the MMR or USB memory. You will be able to send print jobs directly from your own computer or smartphone, and when you enter the code into the printer you will be able to print your documents.
8 of these new printers will be available in the locations shown below. You can pay for your documents using your Student ID / Co-op Card.

*Printing to printers other than those listed above will require you to print the document from the computer located next to the printer and can only be paid for with a Copy Card.

Please use on CODP compatible machines at the university.

If you choose to set a Password, please enter a
4-digit password in half-width numbers.
Make sure not to forget your password.

select your file.
You can also drag and drop

Password for Printing
The [Print Reference Number] is required to
complete the printing process. Also, you cannot
check it after you close the [Upload Completed]
page. Be sure to write it down. If you can not
remember it, please upload your file again.
Caution
Supported file types
●We recommend uploading PDFs.
●The maximum file size that
can be uploaded is 100MB.

Prepare by uploading your file to the cloud and sending it to a printer.

When using a college student cooperative IC card,

You can copy or print up to the amount loaded on the card.

machine displays this message and
remove the card.

If you see the above message, remove the card
once using the <eject card> button and make
sure you are using the right card.
If the card type is correct but you still see this
error message, please contact us using the
information shown below.
For devices with an IC Card Cashier installed, the first card inserted takes precedence. If you
cannot remove the card for any reason, please contact the Co-op (E 1 Building 1F).

Use Dispenser 2.

and select "black & white“ from the pull down
menu.
The “Auto Detect“ setting may cause your
document to print in color.
There are 3 print settings pages. If you do
not need to adjust any special settings such
as sorting or making multiple copies, you do
not need to change the settings on pages 2
and 3.

Cancelling a Print Job
If an error occurs due to differences in paper sizes
etc., an error message will be displayed. Please
cancel the job by pressing the “クリア C” button.

When printing letter size PDF, please change from Auto
Select to A4 in Paper Supply.

5. Important Notes Regarding CODP Printing
• CODP is a service provided by Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. The APU Co-op has set up machines
compatibale with the CODP service at the university and provides the service.
• The service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. However, the Fuji Xerox company
carries out system maintenance about once a month. You may experience service interruptions
during this time. Maintenance days will be announced via notifications posted 5 working days in
advance on the CODP Website.
• This service required an Internet connection.
In the event of a network service interruption file uploading and printing will not be possible.
• Files larger than 100MB (102,400KB) cannot be uploaded.
• Password-protected files cannot be printed.
• The following file types can be printed using the CODP service, but it is possible the fonts, etc.
will be changed.
To prevent this, we recommend uploading files in PDF format.
Word files (doc, docx) Excel files (xls, xlsx)
PowerPoint files (ppt, pptx) Rich Text files (rtf)
XPS files (xps) OpenXPS files (oxps)
JPEG files (jpg, jpeg, jpe) TIFF files (tif, tiff)

6. Important Notes Regarding Printing from USB memory
• You can only print files in PDF or JPEG format. Microsoft Word files and other file types cannot
be printed.
• When printing a letter size PDF, please select A4 paper.
If you leave the paper size set to AUTO it will cause an error. Please press the clear button to
cancel it.
• Only USB with FAT32 and FAT16 file formats are supported. USB memory formatted in NTFS
or exFAT cannot be read.
• You cannot print password-protected files or from password-locked USB sticks.
• You cannot select which pages of a document to print.
