The Extracurricular Activities (ECA) at GIIS provide students a platform to participate in sports, with training imparted by professional
coaches. Students who demonstrate strong potential, have the opportunity to participate in competitions at intra- and inter-school
levels from here as part of the GIIS Sports Excellence Programme.

Gold Squad ProgrammeAs a part of GIIS Sports
Excellence Programme, the Gold Squad Programme has
been designed to search for and hone sporting talent amongst students. Students selected for this programme undergo intensive training under the able guidance of
our proficient coaches. They are trained and encouraged to represent the school in various
tournaments. Specialised training to students under the
Gold Squad Programme is provided at no extra cost.
Games under the Gold Squad Programme
Five (5) Merit Sports form the Gold Squad Programme –
Soccer, Cricket, Badminton, Basketball and Tennis.
The ‘School Team’ level of the pyramid is where measurable progress and result oriented
achievement is met. Students are nurtured from the Beginner level in their ECAs by imparting
quality training. The process of this focused training
contributes towards building the spirit of sportsmanship and
team work.
