ABSTRACT
This research discusses integrated social media Instagram and
sociolinguistics, especially in colloquial. Instagram is social media that provides
some features for its users to share a series of pictures and videos. When post
pictures, users can add a caption to identify or give a brief description about the
picture. This research concerned about the colloquial found on Awkarin’s
Instagram caption. There are two research problems (1) What are colloquial words
found on Awkarin’s Instagram caption (2) What are the meaning of colloquial
found on Awkarin’s Instagram caption.
To reveal both research problems, this research employes descriptive
qualitative design. This research also applied research object and subject as
follows; colloquial words and Awkarin’s Instagram caption. Document analysis
is applied as the instrument of this research
Overall, this research gained 28 colloquial which was taken from July 6, 2017
until December 28, 2017. As divided by Part of Speech, 8 colloquials are
indicated as Noun, 4 colloquials are indicated as Verb, 3 colloquials are indicated
as Adjective, 6 colloquials are indicated as Pronoun, 2 colloquials are indicated as
Preposition, 1 colloquial is indicated as Conjunction, 1 colloquial is indicated as
Article, 2 colloquials are indicated as Quantifier, and 1 colloquial is indicated as
Modal.
Key words: Colloquial, Instagram, Caption, Awkarin.

to Allah, king of the king, the Lord of the world, and the master of the day after,
who has given his blessing and guaidance. The researcher realizes that without his

Prophet Muhammad SAW.
