Colorado Economy;
The state's economy developed from the mid nineteenth century with the development of irrigated agriculture and, later, at the end of the century, cattle began to be more important. The first development of the industry was based on the extraction and processing of minerals and agricultural products. Currently these products are: cattle, wheat, dairy, corn and hay.There are, of course, other government agencies in the United States who own land in the state, especially Natural Forest ("Natural Forest") and four national parks. There are also numerous private companies operating in Colorado and do business with government agencies in the state. In the second part of the twentieth century the sectors of industry and services expanded significantly. The state's economy has diversified significantly by the concentration of industries and high technology research. Other important industries in Colorado are food processing, transport equipment, machinery, chemicals, minerals such as gold and molybdenum, and tourism. Denver is also an important financial center in the nation. The Bureau of Economic Analysis estimates that the state's total production in 2003 was 87,000 million dollars and per capita income in the same year was $ 34,561, placing Colorado in 8 the place in the nation.
